These models are made using LDraw, a freeware Lego CAD
program. You can download LDraw
here.
Geocities won't let me upload the .dat files, so here's what you have to
do: right click (or command-click for Mac users) on the image to save the
link target. The image is linked to a file which is labeled as a .txt, but
it is NOT a txt. Once you've saved the file, change the extension from .txt
to .dat, and that will be a file you can open using LDraw.
The Bumbot
I don't actually have the pieces to build this, so I made it entirely in
LDraw. This is the only model I've done that with.
Tundra Recon
Ice Planet is my favourite Space theme, but it came out during my dark
ages (too old to call myself a kid, too young to realize that it was still
okay to play with Lego), thus it wasn't untill I made a find on eBay that
I was able to get the rest of the line. I made this set to go with what
little I had.
Moonhome
Jenn and I made this using pieces from my old Lego. The two baseplates
are actually supposed to be crater style baseplates, but they weren't in
the LDraw library I downloaded.
Moonrover
This was made alongside the Moonhome.
Blue Speeder
This was made using only parts from the podracing bucket. It can be built
at the same time as the freighter fighter.
Freighter Fighter
This was also made from the podracing bucket. I made it after the speeder,
which is why it looks all boxy and slapped together. The fact that its all
slapped together and boxy is why I called it the freighter fighter.
Green Beast
A monster type thing made from the bucket of bricks Jenn gave me for the
first birthday I had while dating her.
White Speeder
Also made from the one bucket. It's very hard to build Star Wars type models
without specialty pieces.
Red Speeder
Same bucket. This was meant to be more of a swoop bike kind of thing.
Yellow Speeder
Shown from behind. The last model from the single bucket, this one is my
favourite. That's supposed to be a tractor beam generator on the back, the
idea being that if the engine dies on a speeder it can be towed behind this
one to a garage.
Green Speeder
Made from the bucket with one extra set thrown in. The akward angle doesn't
do it much justice.
The X-Ray
So called because what is here depicted as a yellow parcel is actually
a tile that says XRAY. That part wasn't in my LDraw library.
Blue and Green Bike
Matching bikes for two Star Wars roleplaying characters based on Jenn and
I. The slopes on the front are supposed to be the pearly silver decorated
wedges from the Green Goblin set, and the saddle on the back is also supposed
to be a pearly curved saddle from that set. All parts that weren't in my library. The models look much better in real life, and they're my favourites so far.
The Pirate Fighter
This is what I envision Jinren Frost and Steneph Bron's first encounter as. A solitary dork in this ship. Because he's a Star Wars Pirate, he's a slob with stubble and a scar and I threw a 2x1 tile with sock print in the cockpit to signify filth.
