(The Egyptian Timer)
This timer comes from a world where sliding is more commonplace. But it is only used by the ruling class. The timer seems to be identical, in function at least, to Quinn's timer. And like Quinn's timer the Sliders opened the vortex before the timer reached zero. Again corrupting the program and returning the Sliders to ![]() Modifications were made to this timer by Dr. Steven Jensen. The modifications include the ability to track wormholes, not unlike Logan's timer (see 2nd Timer), and the ability to imprint, or store, coordinates of parallel worlds that the Sliders travel to. This ability was improved when Quinn modified equipment from the Slide Wave device (see 4th Timer) and made it possible to manually input slide coordinates. Sometime in the third year of it use, due to a failing power source, the timer was unable to lock on a stable set of slide coordinates causing an error in the denceatedy circuit that is part of the spatial differential fail-safe that prevents sliding underwater, into solid objects or high in the air. |
