He attended Starfleet Academy from 2370-2374. He proved himself an excellent
tactician, with a big love for history. His math wasn't too great, but
with some help he could manage. His first assignment was on the U.S.S.
Enterprise-D, not as a full fledged member however, but as a temporary
crewmember (ensign). During that time he became friends with lt (jg) Reginald
Barcley, with whom he spent many hours in the Holosuite with, especially
with a novel written by Noël and a teacher of him at the Academy,
Stephan Cannell, called 'The A-Team'. When he was no longer needed
on the Enterprise, he went back to Earth to follow a special seminar on
Advanced Millitary Strategies. After his last promotion he even gave courses
to personal on ships. In 2375 he was assigned to the DeRuyter, where he
was promoted to lt(jg) after only three months, after saving several crewmen
and -women as well as colonists, when the Rila colony was under attack
by the Cardassians. Although his stategies were 300 years old, they proved
very effective against the Cardassians. This action earned him the The
Grankite Order of Tactics(Class of Excellence) and the Medal of Valor.
To this day, these commendations are standard equipment on his dress uniform.
Six months later he promoted to lieutenant, after his superiour officer
died on an away mission, and the captain thought he needed a lieutenant.
This action was however frowned upon by Starfleet HQ, but no steps were
taken. Lt Noël has proven himself a true officer and a gentleman next
to a great tactician, although his actions as security officer are sometimes
called "too enthousiastic".
Hobbies: listening to old style Heavy Metal, studying ancient
war strategies, "chasing the ladies".
