Sorry about the pop-up ad... I have no say in the matter.  At least you can close them now.

THE BIG HONKIN' PAGE O' LINKS
Now with more flashing pictures!  It's like Las Vegas without Elvis, casinos and the all-nude revues!
All the sites below have either given me permission to link to them via email, or offer some sort of "Link to Us" page/resourses/whatever.  I realize I could just do it anyway, but I don't think that's too kosher.  Besides, some of the pages I'd like to link to have a whole lot of legal jargon regarding associations with other websites and businesses, and I really don't want to go to jail over something as stupid as an unauthorized link this page, which probably receives fewer than 50 hits a year anyway.

If you want me to add a link to your website, please email me with the words, "PLEASE PIMP MY SITE" as a subject because that makes me chuckle.  In the body of the email, give me the website address, and a brief description of what your site offers (pictures, house rules, painting and/or modelling tips, etc.).  If you have an icon button designed for the site, please send that too, as long as its not too large (use your better judgement... take a look at the other banners on this site and use them as a gauge).  Your site does not necessarily have to be related to Games Workshop, but if it is, I cannot associate with it if you refer to it as "The Offical [whatever] Site," simply because of the Intellectual Protection Policy of Games Workshop, Limited, which states that if a website is "official," it is because Games Workshop owns it and maintains it.  If Games Workshop doesn't own it and doesn't maintain it, it isn't legally "official."  (Hey, don't get mad at me... I don't write the laws.).  Also, I have to abide by the rules of Geocities... please don't send me links to obvious adult sites because they won't get put up here.

GAMES WORKSHOP (U.S.)
The heart of it all.  Table-top wargaming combines strategy and art as painted pewter and plastic miniatures are moved around the 25mm-scale battlefield.  Games Workshop is one of the leading makers of these types of games.  In fact, they used to sell role-playing games as well, but moved away from that genre.  Few game companies have gotten to the point that Games Workshop has, and, from what I've seen of the competiton, few will.  The website has news, announcements, and an online store.
OTHER GAMES WORKSHOP/SIMILAR WARGAMING LINKS
(i.e Fansites and the like for GW and other table-top wargames)
Take me to Apocrypha 40,000....
APOCRYPHA 40,000- The Taken
Best described as an online Citadel Journal, Apocrypha 40,000 has articles on painting, conversions, comic strips, fan fiction, etc.  A "Then and Now" section revamps older rules for the current game system, as well as an article on including animals in 40K games.  Updated every two months or so.
NECRONS FAN CLUB
Necrons are one of the newer races in the Warhammer 40K universe.  Or they are one of the oldest, depending on how you look at it: GW designed them in recent years, but the race boasts a history almost as old as time itself.  They are ancient skeletal machines possessing weapons that litterally can strip your flesh off your body, atom by atom, commanded by godlike creatures that rival daemons in power.  If you like Necrons, or are thinking of starting a Necron army, take a look at Necrons Fan Club.  And be sure to take a look at the guestbook, as it features a Necron Quiz.
PORTENT
News updates, pics, links, but best of all, rumors and images of all sorts of stuff... upcoming releases not yet in America, in-progress shots, miniature galleries, etc.  Also has a "House Rules" section where one can contribute home grown ideas.  To toot my own horn, I'm the guy who contributed the Ork Deth Kopta rules here, months before the Ork Codex came out, and most certainly before Codex Armageddon gave us the Speed Freek version (which is better than mine, anyway).

THE HIRED GUN
Another Games Workshop preview page, like Portent, but also has interviews, painting classes, etc.  I really like the set-up, too... reminds me of USAToday.
Take me to The Hired Gun....
THE WARP
A huge network of wargames stuff, including Warhammer 40K and Warhammer Fantasy Battle.  Includes links and images of miniatures, modelling/conversion guides, etc..
COOL MINI OR NOT
If you haven't seen HotOrNot.com, here's the deal: people upload photos of themselves and we, the Internet viewers, rate them on a scale of 1 (fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down) to 10 (hotter than a year's subscription to Perfect 10).  This is the same deal, but with painted miniatures.

OTHER NON-WARGAMING LINKS
DOOMED'S USED ARMOR EMPORIUM
Put simply, "Tribes" is a computer game, a spawn of "Starsiege."  It's played over the internet and is a first person shooter, much like Doom, Quake, or Unreal, the main difference being that Tribes is much more of a team-oriented game.  There are a number of different scenarios to play: Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Assault, etc.  I haven't played in a while (a shame, too... it kicked ass), but, if you do, know someone who does, or just want to see what sorts of skins (what your character looks like) people can use, take a look at Doomed's Emporium.  By far, it has some of the best skins out there, both idea-wise as well as graphically, and I was permitted to put a link to the site.  Even though I don't play anymore, I didn't want to drop the link.
F*CKEDCOMPANY.COM
"The Dot Com Deadpool."  Predict what dot-com companies go belly up and score points.  It's free to register, and there are individual forums, so you can give your three cents about how your boss is screwing with you.  Cursing is used, so don't be surprised.
"Hey look!  I'm spinnin'!  I'm SPINNIN'!"  Take me to Joe Cartoon....
JOE CARTOON
You may have heard of Joe Cartoon, or maybe seen one of the toys on the website, like the interactive "JoeSterizer 10-Speed Frog Blender 2000," or the similar "MicroGerbil 2001" thing.  This is THE OFFICIAL Joe Cartoon site, and it's got the gerbil, the frog and a whole lot more.  Sick, twisted fun in the vein of Pulp Fiction's accidental head-shooting scene, but with animals.  Usually small mammals.  Usually detonating.  Screen savers, cartoons, interactive "games," and other truly bizzarre stuff.  This stuff ain't for kiddies, unless that kiddy laughs when cartoon gerbils explode, but that's beside the point.  At least Joe censors the language.  Well, most of the time.  Personal recomendations: Super Fly, Look at My Monkey and Torpedo Joe.
PORTAL OF EVIL
Truth be told, I knew the Internet was full of useless conspiracy sites, nutty goth-wannabes and fat whackjobs who think they're skinny (or at least think they're skinny enough to take nude pictures of themselves and upload them to the Internet), but I never expected to see so many in one place, or categorized as they are on Portal of Evil.  Take your time and look around, enjoy the wierdest, worst, vilest, funniest, stupidest, and most derranged sites on the Internet, then try and make fun of your friend's Bon Jovi fan site....  Updated on a roughly daily basis.
Take me to The Portal Of Evil....
THE ONION
A parody newspaper, updated every week (on Wednesday) with stories ranging from overblown excitement over everyday occurrences (such as "Man Parallel Parks to Onlooker's Amazement") to completely ludicrous fiction ("Clinton Returns to Home Planet, Tells Gore to 'Shove It.'").  Damn funny stuff... articles, interviews (probably the only "real" pieces on the site), op/ed pieces, comics, horoscopes, helpful "hints," charts/graphs, etc.
Take me to The Onion....
Take me to Underground Online....
UNDERGROUND ONLINE
Whether you call it "UnderGround Online" or simply called "UGO," its a jumping-off point to entertainment sites, primarily animation, music, sports, technology, film and TV and assorted other nuggets of entertainment.  The guys at UGO recently revamped it, adding a personals page.  Usually updated twice a day.
