The Weathermaster plays the perpetual innocent. He claims to be a humble student of Meteorology, hoping that his alien mind control beams will keep us from learning his true ambitions. However, since alien mind control beams don't exist, his goal is fairly obvious: world domination-- just like everyone else in the Gallery. However, the method by which Blake hopes to gain world domination is more than slightly unorthodox, making him noteworthy. He intends to use his meterological knowledge to construct some sort of giant machine which will disrupt the world's climate. With this machine, he will bend the world's leaders to his knees.
Or, rather, he would bend the world leaders to his knees, if he were sensible, but he is not. Rather, he intends to launch a more microsoft-like approach to world domination. As his weather machine alters the climate, traditional forecasts will be rendered hopelessly inaccurate. Blake, however, in control of the machine, will be able to deliver forecasts flawlessly, attracting millions of viewers to his syndicated news program. His broadcasts, in addition to containing accurate weather forecasts and on-the-spot Action News at 6 and 11, will also deliver subliminal mind control messages to the public, and, in this manner, the Weathermaster will soon bend the entire population to his will.
Blake frequently works with Aaron Graham, a partner in his world domination scheme. His odd sense of humor is superceded only by his clutzy nature, and he stands a good chance of foiling his own plot by trippng and falling on the weather controlling machine, breaking it. Talk to him about the original Batman series. . . he knows more than you could ever imagine. |
