Description Background
Magnus is the type of person that people notice right away and immediately move out of his way. His physical size alone is intimidating but his fierce visage is truly frightening. Black native tattoos run across his bald head and face to form almost an animalistic appearance. He is generally found wearing hunting leathers but in combat situations will also wear his black and gray dragon scale armor. Magnus was the oldest child of 7 in a family on the outskirts of Blackrock. Growing up on the farm was difficult but it made Magnus tough. He joined a gang of neighborhood thugs and soon came to be their leader. One evening, they thought they would test their courage by investigating some strange occurrences in the supposedly "haunted" woods about 30 miles from their farm. After several haunting encounters, the rest of the gang fled for town. Determined to prove he was the bravest, Magnus pressed on alone. It was then he encountered a creature too terrifying to describe. After a brief scuffle with the creature, Magnus raced back to town. Along the way, he found the eviscerated remains of his friends. Over the next few days, Magnus began to change. After spending time with the local healers and mages, he found he had been bitten by a were-beast. Not just any were-beast but a were-tyrannosaurus. Determined to get his revenge, he trained diligently for the next 3 years to improve his fighting abilities and his control over his new powers. When he was ready, he set out again into the woods, found his attacker and barely managed to slay him. Feeling confident in his superiority over all other were-beasts, he took upon himself the name of Magnus Rex. Later travels discovered the Were-Nation where he quickly became their general.
