5 May 2006:
I worked on some more ideas. Since this is going to be MY fantasy wedding, I decided to forget about the blue and yellow theme and use my favorite colors instead. Pink and Yellow. It will be interesting to figure out how to clothe the men in those colors. I'm also moving towards a more stylized blend of different wedding styles. Modern, historic, and so forth. This not only applies to the style of dress but also all the other aspects. I think this will be a very interesting theme to put together.
And here is the dress with a jacquard or brocade style cloth on the body. This is merely to see if the design lends itself to a patterned cloth even though the material I'd use would be more subtle.

I was the bride's gown to be luxurious, with rich cloths and detailing. The sides will lace all the way down to the hem, though from the waise down would be merely decoration. The over dress, underdress, and vest will all have collars that will stand up, mimicing one another. The underdress one would not be rigid like the other two and would likely need to be pinned to the overdress much like partlets were suspected to be during the Renaissance.
Again, the veil will be made of strands of beads nettied together. They will be held in place by a wire tiara/crown and not fall over the face as was originally planned. The bouquet will be made of leaves (fake or real). Instead of flowers, I plan to use crystals. I may make flowers out of these crystals, but that is undecided yet. They will all be set into a bouquet holder, either to be bought from a craft store (like AC Moore) or will be taped together (if using fake leaves) and covered in a nice cloth or lace.
The bridesmaid gown will be the same colors as the bride's gown. Whether the cloth and trim will be the same is undetermined, though I would prefer it. The design will likely be very similar to my Medieval Lady's Bliaut. The sleeves will be obviously shorter and the sides will be lace up but will stitched from the hip to lower hem. The cording will end in aglets, beading, or tassels. They may or may not carry smaller bouquets. Again, this is undetermined. However, they will likely have a hair ornament that will mimic the bride's bouquet... green leaves surrounding a crystal or crystal flower. Ribbons and possibly a beaded strand or two will be attached to this ornament to imitate the bridal veil.
