Eutats fo Ytrebil

Part IV

Wen Kroy Ytic

I wasn't in the Land of Fae anymore, but I didn't think I was home either. Everything looked familiar, except the colors were still strange. Signs were written backwards and people spoke in a language that was definitely not English. The Statue of Liberty rose above my head, the purple torch reaching toward the yellow sky.

I was in Wen Kroy Ytic. Only 1500 miles and another dimension from my home. What had that troll done? Apparently they abduct people from this world and that was the only device setting that he knew. First of all I had to get off of this island. A ferry was docked nearby and I walked on with a family of blue skinned people. I felt like an outcast, but no one seemed to notice. There must be a lot of strange people in this city.

I kept myself isolated from the passengers, expecting the worst. As we were docking on the mainland, a tall dark blue man wearing white sunglasses sat down beside me. He was much bluer than everyone else, perhaps a bronze tan. "I've seen people like you before," he said in perfect English. "Come with me, maybe I can help you." His name was Redlum and he belonged to a paranormal research group called NOFUM. I suppose that there have been many abduction cases where the greys return people to the wrong world, probably while they are still high from their enzyme addiction.

I have never heard of any blue people being found on our earth, although there are tales of green children mysteriously appearing in European villages a few hundred years ago. Actually, there are some almost normal color people in this world, although the majority of them have pure white hair.

Redlum brought me to the regional NOFUM headquarters located in a Nattahnnam neighborhood, nestled between Mtims dna Nossew, Syenrotta ta Wal and Sekim Nailati Yrekab. We passed through a large meeting room and entered a small office. Pictures of trolls and blue UFO's covered the back wall. Redlum opened a safe hidden under a desk and pulled out a device exactly like the one in my possession, except the coloring was completely different. The activating button was a light blue, but the symbols were identical. He told me of NOFUM's attempts to uncover information about secret documents detailing an alliance between the krad syerg and the Ria Ecrof. NOFUM had proof of their existence ( the interdimensional device), but no real evidence of their intentions.

I told him that our world was similar, but in different colors. He knew of our world from a previous traveler, who had found the NOFUM headquarters. The device in the safe was was left there just before he was taken into custody by a government agent. I didn't tell him about my device or about the Land of Fae. I still might need an ace in the hole later.

Redlum was pretty sure that his device was set to return to my world. He would allow me to use it at my own risk, but he must activate it and it must remain behind. He set it on his desk and pushed the blue button. Running out the door, Redlum yelled back, "Doog kcul." A yellow disk appeared through the ceiling. It quickly grew in size and swallowed me up.
