"Ask the Slaves"~*~Questions & Answers~*~

Do you have questions that you might be seeking an answer to? Well this is the place to come and ask! Yes slave girls of Gor, we are going to try to answer all of the grand and wonderful questions that "we" as gorean slaves ask daily. nairi and kyna are here to help, or at least try that is. We will base our answers on fact, book knowledge, and of course real life situations. This is a forum for learning and not bashing so don't expect us to take sides ~wink~. All questions are annonymous, meaning no names will be mentioned, unless we use quotes with permission. Remember, the only question that is ignorant is the one not asked!

All questions must be emailed to slavegirls@hotmail.com (try to get them in as soon as possible if you wish to see the answers by the next issue date. We also take quotes and recipes should any of you wish to submit them :)

He is Master, and I am Slave.
He is owner, and I am owned.
He commands, and I obey.
He is to be pleased, and I am to please.
Why is this?
Because he is Master, and I am Slave.

 ~*~This week's questions ~*~

Question 1: this girl has seen so many beg so sweetly, so easily... but, it is beyond this one... how do they do that? just... <snaps fingers> like that... one moment, they're doing whatever; the next, they're begging. this girl tries to do that... and is unsuccessful. it doesn't feel like pride, whatever it is that prevents her... it makes a girl miserable... almost cry... and this girl does not cry often. any suggestions?

kyna would have to say, in all honesty, that she would be terribly surprised to meet a slave who had never once encountered difficulty when being made to beg. note that kyna said "made" to beg, for you see there is little difficulty in doing something you truly want to do. as slaves, we encounter a variety of emotions. sometimes as a slave, kyna craves to beg for her Master's kiss, yearns to beg to please Him. other times, kyna's Master makes her grovel on the ground in front of many people, begging Him just to be allowed to serve Him. at times, kyna experiences a range of emotions when a Man forces her to beg for menial things; rebellion, pride, embarrassment, shame, shyness, even anger but the end result is always the same, kyna begs and begs prettily...why is that? because kyna is a slave. it is important for us to remember our place at all times. in kyna’s most humble opinion, being forced to beg is often a tool used to help the slave learn, or remember her place. a slave grows and learns constantly. learning to beg is part of learning how to become a pleasing slave. it is not our choice to decide when and if we will beg, so perhaps it can also become a control issue. the end result is much the same as kyna stated above, you beg, and beg prettily, pleasingly...why? because a slave has no control. kyna suggests to you that you examine your emotions about this. what emotion is it that makes you cry? isolate that emotion and then work on it once it has been identified...for you will continue to have to beg. such is the life of a slave. kyna sends her best thoughts to you :)

*some interesting quotes on begging*
"Make me please you," she begged. "Rather," I said, "I shall permit you to beg to please me, and as a slave." "I beg to please you, Master," she said. "As a slave?" I asked. "Yes, Master," she said, "I beg to please you-and as a slave."
page 201, Savages of Gor
"I want to crawl to him," she whispered, "and beg to serve his pleasure." "Do not break position," I warned her. "No," she whispered. "Perhaps he will let you serve him later," I said. "I hope so," she whispered. "I hope so!"

Question 2 : this slave has heard of (and seen) many protection collars on irc Gor, yet can find no reference to any such thing in the books. was this some sort of invention for irc? perhaps what this slave really means to ask is from whom is protection being sought?

As nairi read this she is reminded of the countless protection collars she has seen on irc Gor. nairi always finds it interesting that in most cases the protected girl rarely wears the collar designation of the Master whom protects her behind her nick. It is generally learned through some long winded line at the end of the whois; for example, "this girl under the loving protection and guidance of Master I-Am-Gorean."

Before going further with the answer nairi has in mind, she wishes to first state that yes, this is an invention of irc Gor. Protection collars have been explained in numerous ways. nairi has heard some girls say it is a way to be protected from the HNG's of Gor. nairi always finds the ops in a channel to be more helpful when it comes to HNG's, for at the very least an op has the ability to remove the offensive person from the channel. Another explanation for the need of a protection collar is that by having a Master as the designated Protector, a girl has a Master to whom she is accountable for her actions as she searches for a Master of her own. This Protector is the one to whom others can complain in the event the slave has been found displeasing.

This brings other thoughts to mind. First, although only property and beasts, a slave should always keep in mind what she is and behave accordingly. Secondly, no Gorean man would wait to complain to another man if he found a slave to be displeasing. He would simply deal with the situation at the time it occurred, including the doling out of punishment should the Master think it appropriate to do so.

As kyna and nairi discussed the questions for the week, kyna was kind enough to provide a reference from one of the books in which Tarl Cabot saved a slave from being run down by a herd of kaiila:

"'You saved me, Master," said the girl, holding to me. "'Perhaps to some extent', I said, 'I have protected the investment of your master.' It is well to help a slave keep clearly in mind that she is only an article of property."
-pg. 103, Savages of Gor

One question which nairi often asks herself when she sees a protection collar is 'why doesn't the Master simply put his own collar about the throat of the slave if he wants to be responsible for her?' Not being a Master, nairi would not know the answer to her question, but it still provides some food for thought.

Perhaps the most important thing nairi can say about the 'offering' of a protection collar is that a slave should be very cautious. It seems most times these type collars are handed out at the door to all slaves newly arriving on the world of Gor. It's been stressed repeatedly that there are simply some men, posing as Masters, who prey upon such girls. Sadly, and likewise often repeated, these girls become the victims of cruel irc games. Being vulnerable to the discovery of something new should not have to be harmful. nairi can only repeat once more to proceed slowly as one learns of Gor and her slavery.

Question 3: What is the difference between a kajira and a slave girl?

kyna thought first to define both words when she saw this question. then she realized that was not even necessary. if we are speaking literally, a kajira is a slave girl and a slave girl is a kajira. the words are interchangeable. it is quite the same as saying the word "sleep" in English and French. sleep means dormir, dormir means sleep. same word, same meaning, different language.

on the fictional counter Earth Gor, there were many different types of kajirae, that is also true on the real Earth, as there are many types of slave girls here. it seems that Gorean (pleasure) slave girls have distinctive characteristics that set them apart from say, a BDSM slave or a slave utilized merely for manual labor. our belief system is set up differently. on Earth, the word "slave" has such ugly or negative attachments to it. sometimes people find it much easier to call themselves or their girls kajirae. it is perhaps why there seems to be a "difference" in the meaning of the words. in all actuality, kajira and slave girl mean exactly the same thing. the difference that we attach to the words is a difference put their by our own feelings and not by anything that is linguistic in nature.

"Kajira" and "La Kajira" are often the first words a girl of Earth, carried to Gor, must learn. The women of Earth, to the mighty men of Gor, are good for little but slaves.

"La Kajira," I said, pointing to myself. "Tu Kajira, " I said, pointing to Eta. I am a slave girl. You are a slave girl.

~*~ things to think about ~*~

and the quotes continue....

Do slaves have pride??....

certainly not!
"Would you be seen here," I asked, "as a naked slave, leashed, lying on the street?" "Slaves have no pride," she said.
page 161, Guardsman of Gor
then again....
"Are slave girls truly proud?" asked Tarna. "Most," said Hassan.
and later....
"Did the girls seem proud?" asked Hassan. "Yes," said Tarna sullenly. "But why should they have been proud?" "They were proud of t heir bodies, too, of their masters, who had the will and power to put them in a collar and keep them there, because it pleased him to do so." "How strong such men must be," whispered Tarna. "Too," said Hasan, "undeniable females, secure in their sexuality, it was difficult not for them to be proud. Too, joy can make girls proud." "But why, why," wept Tarna, "should they be proud?" Hassan shrugged. "Because they knew themselves to be the most perfect and profound of women," he said. "That is why they are proud." Hassan laughed. "Sometimes," he said, "girls grow so proud it is necessary to whip them, to remind them that they are only slaves." "I can walk proudly," said Tarna. "Lead me through the halls." She rose to her feet, and stood before us. "there is a difference," laughed Hassan, "between the pride of a free woman and the pride of the slave girl. The pride of a free woman is the pride of a woman who feels herself to be the equal of a man. The pride of a slave girl is the pride of a girl who knows that no other woman is the equal of herself.

the kiss of a slave girl.....ooo la la....

She then pressed her body against me, closely and lasciviously, and helplessly, in the manner of the female slave, that of the woman who knows herself completely subject to the will of men. She then put her arms about my neck and, standing on her toes, lifting her lips to mine, kissed me. I then, by the arms, held her from me. "You kiss well, Slave," I told her. "Thank you, Master," she said.
later...
"You are no stranger to your collar," I said. The kiss of a slave girl is unmistakable.
page 104, Savages of Gor
He spun me about, to face him. He stood but inches from me. I was naked. My hands were braceleted behind my back. "Kiss me," he said. Obediently I stood on my toes and kissed him. "Do you call that a kiss?" he asked. "Permit me to try again, Master," I said. I then kissed him again, but this time as a slave. "Very good, Lady Sheila," he said. "From the first time I saw you, I thought there was a slave in you."
page 349, Kajira of Gor
"To my lips," he commanded. I fled to him, and kissed him, deeply, as a slave. I drew back. I saw that I had kissed him too well.

the common branding site of a slave girl....

outer thigh..inner thigh??
The most common brand site in a Gorean slave girl is the outer side of the left thigh, closely beneath the hip. In this brand site the identificatory mark is thus placed high enough to be covered by the brief cloth of a common slave tunic and is available for convenient and immediate inspection if the tunic is lifted.

expectations of a love slave....

"But do not fear," I said, "such modalities are not learned in vain. They will be required of you even by a love master, and, indeed, he will doubtless require them from you with a harshness, an amplitude and exactness far beyond that of a more casual owner." "But, why, Master?" she asked. "Because you are," I said, "in the final analysis, as he will wish you to remember, only his slave. Too, do you think he would require less from you, a love slave, than from some more common girl chained at his feet?"
page 200, Savages of Gor
"A girl is only testing her master," I smiled. Suddenly he struck me, slapping me cruelly across the mouth. It hurt me. I tasted a bit of blood. "Do you think," he asked, "that because I care for you I will not be strong with you?" "No, Master," I said.
page 443, Slave Girl of Gor
"Will you truly be hard with me, Master?" I asked. "Yes," he said. "Will you truly, though you care for me, keep me as full slave?" "Yes, Slave," he said. "Subject even to discipline, if I displease you?" I asked. "Subject to discipline, at my pleasure, whether you displease me or not," he said. "My bondage then will be absolute," I said. "Of course, Slave," he said.

Earth girls.......

" In my own house I often rotated the position of first girl among my slaves who were native Goreans. I never made an Earth-girl slave first girl. This is fitting. Let them be always as the slaves of slaves."
page 78, Explorer's of Gor
"She is an Earth slut," said the girl who held the leash. "Some men like them." "I could call her 'Linda'," I said. "An Earth-slut name," said the girl who held the leash.
later...
"Earth girls are so stupid," said the other girl, wearily. "Many are not stupid," I said. "It is only that they are ignorant." "Perhaps they may be taught," mused the other girl. "Any woman may be taught," I told her.
page 146-147 Guardsman of Gor

some of nairi's favorite quotes....

note: today nairi thought it would be fun to go through her set of books and look only at the pages and passages she marked long ago as containing something of import. Hence, there may not necessarily be any continuity in thought from one passage to the nest. Consider this nairi's disclaimer. Here is what nairi finds for sharing:

"I then threw the second blanket, the top blanket over her, covering her completely. When a blanket, or cloak, or covering of any sort, is thrown over a slave like this she may not speak or rise. She must remain as she is, silent, until the master , or some free man, lifts the covering away."
Pg. 94, Explorer's of Gor
" Masculinity and femininity are complementary properties, I told her. If a man wishes a woman to be more feminine, he must be more masculine. If a woman wishes a man to be more masculine, she must be more feminine."
Pg. 205, Explorer's of Gor
"... I knew that on Earth many men did not even know their wives. They did not truly look upon them. Never, truly, had they been seen. But a Gorean master will know every inch, and care for every inch, of one of his slave girls. He will know every hair, every sweet blemish of her. In a way she is nothing to him, for she is only slave. But in another way she is very important to him. She is one of his women. He will know her. He will want to know her completely, every inch of her body, every inch of her mind. Nothing less will satisfy him. She is his property. He will choose to know his property thoroughly."
Pg. 145, Hunter's of Gor
"... Always I would remember his hands upon me! Always in my heart I would be his slave girl. ... Always in my heart I would think of him as my master."
Pg. 218-219, Slave Girl of Gor

nairi could go on forever. These are what she has offered as food for thought.

the roving, inquisitive slave girl writers...nairi and kyna ..wish you all well! :)

"Quotes of the Week!"
A woman, I had learned, must choose between freedom and love. Both are estimable virtues. Let each choose which is best for her.
