Soldig, the wife of Vidar, is killed by drunken Giants. Vidar, enraged with grief, storms into Asgard and demands revenge from his father Odin. Thor attacks Vidar because of his lack of respect, but Odin stops them. Odin sends them both on a quest to track down the killers. They travel to Jotunheim and Vidar decides to continue on his own. He comes across one of the giant's wives and kills her believing that she played a part in Soldig's death. He finds out otherwise as the giants attack him and capture him. Thor comes to his rescue and they defeat the giants. Thor tempers Vidar's craving for blood. Vidar realizes what he has done and will have to live with his guilt and grief. |

Mephisto, bored with tormenting the souls of the dead, decides to make Thor's life miserable. He kidnaps Ulik's brother and forces Ulik to attack Thor. An incredible battle takes place and Thor emerges as victor. Ulik reveals that Mephisto is the mastermind behind the attack and Thor travels to Mephisto's realm. Mephisto has already destroyed Ulik's brother and tries to crush Thor's spirit. However, Mephisto quickly tires of Thor's unrelentless spirit and sends him off. |

The threat of the Termini forces Thor to seek out Terminus who is adrift in space. Thor confronts him, breaches his armor and learns the origin of the Termini. Meanwhile back on Earth, Hercules battles the raging hordes of the Termini. Jay's Notes:

Dargo, the Future Thor, helps the Guardians of the Galaxy confront the misguided ancestor of Korvac as he tries to reshape the world of the future. They destroy him but the Korvac power is passed on to a future ancestor. Jay's Notes:

The Flame, half-elf/half-fire demon, and embittered by his lot in life, rages a viscous campaign against the inhabitants of Asgard. Thor is summoned to investigate and confronts the Flame. Thor is forced into battle and apparently destroys the Flame. However, Loki convinces the Flame to join him against Thor. Jay's Notes:

Pluto relunctantly fulfill his part of the bargain and recruits the Flame and Cerberus to destroy Thor. They attack Thor and Cerberus' poison fells him. Still bitter over the Hercules fiasco, Pluto stops them before they kill Thor and encourages them to make their way to Asgard. They come across Loki's wife Sigyn and are about to slay her when Loki intercedes and adds his strength to Thor and restores him. Thor defeats Cerberus and no longer feeling pity for the Flame, he beats him into submission. |
