Thor turns down Harris Hobbs' request to bring a camera crew to Asgard. However, an exiled Loki tricks Thor into bring himself and Hobbs along with his camera crew to the hallowed halls of Asgard. Loki forsees the coming of Ragnarok. Jay's Notes:

Odin confirms Loki's suspicions of a looming Ragnarok. Balder seeks to rouse his fellow Asgardian from their sombre mood and challenges them to test his invulnerability. A plethora of weapons are used against Balder without harm. However Loki fulfils his prophecized role and supplies Hodur with an enchanted bow and mistletoe arrow that strikes down Balder. |

Asgard mourns the death of Balder. Odin seals his son in the Odinshield and keeps him from Hela's icy touch, thus keeping Ragnarok at bay. Thor hunts down Loki and defeats him using his belt of strength. |

The trial of Loki is held and the verdict is guilt! However, Loki has goaded camera man, Red Norvell, who has fallen in love with Sif, into become a version of Thor. Norvell seizes Mjolnir and defeats Thor. Sif agrees to leave with him if he spares the court of Asgard. Odin is helpless while he maintains the Odinsheild over Balder. |

Loki explains the plot he and Hela have put into motion. Loki is punished. Hela rallies her troops and allies to attack Asgard. Sif explains to Red Norvell that his power was created as a backup should Thor be on Earth when Ragnarok erupted. |

The Asgardians defend their realm from Hela and her hordes. Sif convinces Red Norvell to join the Asgardians in their battle. Red Norvell sacrifices himself to help Thor defeat the Midgard Serpent. Hela retreats and Ragnarok is avoided. Odin bids Thor to forsake the Earth, however Thor disagrees and Odin exiles him. |

Thor recalls an incident where Pluto had captured Jane Foster and forced him to battle Ulik to rescue her. Pluto loses patience with Ulik and enrages him. Ulik turns his attention to Pluto while Thor rescues Jane. |

Thor turns down an offer by the Other-Earth Hyperion to star in a movie. However, Hyperion counter-part seizes the opportunity to travel to the Other-Earth and pose as that Earth's Hyperion in attempt to destroy the world. His plans are foiled by Thor and the Squadron Supreme. |
