Thor returns to Earth to see to the Warriors Three and inadvertently joins Sif and her companions in battle against Ego-Prime. |

Ego dispatches his avatar Ego-Prime to Earth to free the planet of its "human infestation". Thor and his companions battle in vain against Ego-Prime. Ego-Prime defeats Thor and seperates him from his hammer. |

Thor's companions continue to defy Ego-Prime while Thor recovers his hammer. They regroup and attack Ego-Prime. Meanwhile, Heimdall fulfills Odin's plan which drains Ego-Prime of his power and infuses it into three humans evolving them into a new race of gods. Thor is upset that Odin risked the safety of the Earth. |

Thor and company are exiled to Earth for questioning Odin's judgment. They make their way to Avengers mansion and brood over their exile. They do however take the opportunity to enjoy a night on the town. However, one-by-one they mysteriously disappear. Thor and Sif discover to their horror that their companions have been captured by Mephisto. |

Thor confronts Mephisto as he prepares to launch an attack against Earth. Mephisto's demons will take control world leaders's bodies and put Mephisto's plan into action. Thor battles his closest companions and then through the hordes of Hell to finally reach Mephisto. Thor overwhelms Mephisto, and frees his companions and the world leaders from his evil influence. |

Loki is freed from the prison he was placed in by Mangog (see Thor #195) and he in turn frees the Absorbing Man. The Absorbing Man goes on a rampage compelled to seek out Thor. He finds Sif and Hildegarde and they keep him busy until Thor joins the battle. The Absorbing Man overpowers Thor and makes his way north to New England where he meets up with Loki to plan Thor's downfall. |

Thor continues his battle with the Absorbing Man and defeats him. However, Loki, equipped with the Flamesword, appears and uses the Absorbing Man to lure Thor to New England. Thor, in search of Sif, makes a stop in England and inadvertantly awakens a being calling himself the Demon Druid. Thor pits his power against the Demon Druid and defeats him. However, a British scientist learns that all that Demon Druid wants is to get to Stonehenge which serves as a launching pad and allows him to return to his home in outer space. |

Ulik and Geirrodur work together to plan Thor's defeat. Thor is captured and brought into the Troll Caves where he battles Ulik. Ulik, however, is just a distraction while other Trolls rob Thor of his hammer, Mjolnir. With a bit of help from the Troll Queen, Thor eludes death at the hands of Ulik and dives into a Troll furnace to recover his hammer. |
