Arcaddo is a world of hot, blasted desert wastes, with immense mountainous ranges towering from the gigantic dunes. Shrouded in dense cloud, the constant acidic precipitation evaporates several miles above the surface of the planet, making Arcaddo slightly more amiable to technologised human life, but also keeping the world devoid of many indigenous life forms.
Arcaddo was one of the first worlds colonised in the Corribra Sector and nine hives rise clear of the sands, housing a population of billions. The hives have long sucked what little goodness remained on the planet itself and they are now totally reliant on merchant shipping to bring the vital materials required to continue their existence. The reasons for colonising such a desolate world are now long forgotten, but such a huge population centre is the very life blood of the Imperium. The chief export Arcaddo has to offer is its Guard Regiments, raised dutifully every year from its ever rising population. The Arcaddo Regiments are noted for their urban warfare skills, usually picked up from the Guardsmen's early years of running with one of the many gangs that infest each hive.
