So I tried to get you
To get angry and yell
“Stand up for yourself” was
What I wanted to yell
You let me push you down
Not long after you forgive
Time and time again hurt
You keep trying to forgive

Why can’t you be mad at me
For more than one hour?
Forgiveness will cost you dear
Sometime one turns sour
So find more will to protect

I alienated you
