As is not-so-obvious, Jay Winger is not my real name.  It's just the name I use for Net purposes.  But Jay Winger (the writer person) is different from Jay 2K Winger (the avatar-character).

Physically, Jay 2K resembles me, being fairly tall (about 6'1" to 6'2"), having dark hair and eyes (black and brown, respectively) and glasses.  Jay 2K is a bit more idealistic in appearance, though, being a tad thinner than I am.  (I tend to be a tad overweight...the result of having a lifestyle/education that focuses more on academics than athletics.)  Recently, I've diverted in appearance from Jay 2K (growing a goatee and getting a new haircut will do that), but I keep Jay 2K the way he is because that is who he is.  I am me and he is he.

Jay 2K started off as a way for me to get out some of my creative evils and I turned the character into a bit of an asshole.  Eventually, however, as I used him in a ficverse spinoff called Metaverse Deathmatch!, he developed into a person closer to who I am.  Still needing a way to get out the evil in me, I fissioned off the asshole part of Jay 2K into Puck W!ld.

Jay 2K, in MDM!, originally possessed viral powers, but those went away along with Puck.  Since then, however, in various RPs/posts I have developed Jay 2K into a character who despises his evil half (Puck).  I've described Puck as being Jay 2K's own Tyler Durden (Fight Club reference).  The avatar-character of Jay 2K is very close to the avatar-character of Java Trinomial (just as the Author is close to the Authoress).  Within MDM! and the Aimscape (a term Java and I use to describe our RPs within AOL IM or on a private channel on IRC), Jay 2K has a few powers of his own, from disapparation to a few psionic powers.  But for the most part, he's just an ordinary human with a bit of a superiority complex and power-hunger.
