Cliff Lee lives it large and in charge. No surprise, considering he's over seven-six and packed through-and-through with muscle. He's a friendly enough guy, unless you piss him off. He got his first job as a bouncer for Club Redrum, then later moved up to bartender, and later bought the bar and the apartments above it. His size and his position have earned him the monkier of "Big Boss" with the frequents at the bar.
Big Boss Lee (who likes his nickname also because it's the name of a song by his favorite swing band, Royal Crown Revue) is very protective of his bar and neighborhood. He's known to chase away gang members and lowlife criminals with either his sheer size, a massive Louisville Slugger he calls 'Excalibat,' or with his SPAS-12 shotgun. He doesn't like drunks messing with his music system or trashing his bar, and if someone accuses him of watering down his drinks, he's liable to cave a head in.
Despite his size and sometimes aggressive nature, Lee has to watch himself. Due to his size, he's already had one episode of cardiac arrest, leading to him getting a pacemaker which allows him to keep up his rigorous lifestyle.
Lee is good friends with his two main frequents, Louis Devereaux and Anders Larson, to the point where he'd walk through fire for them. This led to his own capture by assassin Enoch Anderson, when he was hired to kill Raymond Gamin, a friend of Larson's. This, in turn, led to Lee's encounter with the local gargoyle population and the existence of the fey, the Third Race. Lee is still doubtful of much of what he's heard, but willing to live and let live, especially since Raymond -- the very fey he'd met -- worked for him.
