Maegar of the All-Father (clan name Crownshield, but this is usually revealed only to friends) is a sturdy, dark-skinned dwarven cleric of Moradin. He wears a masterfully-crafted suit of dwarven platemail that covers his body except for his head. He wears no helmet; on his mostly-bald head is a golden circlet, the symbol of his clan. His shield of pure mithril bears the image of the same circlet. In combat he wields Spirithammer, an enchanted darksteel warhammer with dwarven runes of power engraven in silver on the haft, modeled after Moradin's own Soulhammer.

  Maegar is a stereotypical dwarf in many ways. He is oftentimes grim and almost always serious. He is patient, taking the long view of things. He speaks slowly and cautiously, his deep voice carrying the strength of his beliefs. He can be harsh at times, judging people on their actions and accomplishments rather than their intentions or spoken beliefs. He has been sent into the 'Lands Above' as a representative of the dwarven race, seeking to increase the status of dwarves within the human-dominated society prevalent in the Westing Reach today.
