Space....the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship, Enterprise. It's continuous mission, to explore strange new worlds. To seek out new life and new civilizations. To boldly go...where no one has gone before!

Star Trek was created by a man named Gene Roddenberry (aka, the Great Bird of the galaxy). He was the visionary which spawned the Star Trek universe. His dream, was to have a show, that broke all barriers between racism, discrimination, and other forms of negatives. While picking the cast for the Original Star Trek, he tried to pick people from all different backgrounds. I think the result was great. He grabbed Walter Koeing (Chekov,Russian), Nichelle Nichols (Uhura,African American), James Doohan (Scotty,Scottish), and the all American William Shatner (Captain Kirk, actually born and raised in Canada). Star Trek's main mission is to explore new life and show that maybe one day, our current civilization will evolve to be combined and everyone will unite into the United Federation of Planets. I say give it another hundred to two-hundred years, but I believe we can achieve that. I think we will develop ships with the capacity to go to warp. I know if we invent the technology, that for a fact, the inventors will name it Warp Drive. Think of all the advancements we have made so far with Star Trek. The cellular phone for example. Look how closely it resemble the communicator from the Original Series. Another think is the Tricorder. This nifty tool has been created in real  life. It is not as advanced as the ones in Star Trek, but, nevertheless, it is really cool. Another thing that is on the way, is the Universal Translator. No, it wont be able to translate all the unknown races in the galaxy, but it will be able to traslate all the different languages to the language you want. I can't wait (I will finally be able to understand all that Italian speaking in my family:).Star Trek has added a lot to our world, and in th epositive  There is a lot of emotion put into the parts as well. You can see it in the characters, Overall I would say that Star Trek is one of the greatest thing to happen to our world and I will give a lot of credit to the actors and the people that make it. Thanks for the movies and the series, which lead to numerous card games and memoribillia along with much much more!

Gene Roddenberry/The Great Bird of The Galaxy-Creator:
Roddenberry was the original creator and producer of Star Trek. He was the one who visioned Star Trek, established its guiding principles and shaped the formula that would lead to four television series, and by the end of 1996, eight Star Trek Movies. His writing credits spanned through Star Trek, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and the beginning thoughts of Voyager. To many, it was largely the efforts of this one man that allowed Science Fiction to flourish on TV. But most importantly, Roddenberry provided a vision of hope and a future that promised great things, and in doing so, he inspired and touched the lives of many people.. Roddenberry was a great man, and should be recognized for many accomplishments.

Rick Berman-Creator/Executive Producer:
Rick Berman was ST: TNG's executive producer for all seven seasons. He co-created and is now executive producer of Deep Space Nine (before it ended), and Voyager, and co-developed the plots for both series openers. Keeping Star Trek going in the movie theaters, he produced the movies, "Star Trek: Generation" and "Star Trek: First Contact". By playing around with Roddenberry's vision, Berman has found out about other strange new worlds.

Michael Pillar-Creater/Executive Producer:
He joined Rick Berman and Gene Roddenberry as a ST:TNG producer at the start of it's fourth season. Piller co-created and was an executive producer of ST:DS9. In addition to writing DS9's opener, "The Emmisary"(based on a story developed with Rick Berman), and the famous two-parter, "The Best of Both Worlds", he also co-created and was the executive producer of the fourth Star Trek series, Voyager, and co-wrote the opener, "Caretaker".

Robert Justman-Associate Producer/Co-Producer/Co-Creator
Bob Justman has a huge careen spanning thirty-five motion pictures, and five-hundred television episodes, pilots, and movies. In 1964, he met Gene Roddenberry and Herb Solow and was hired as the assistant directer of "The Cage", the first Star Trek pilot. He soon came back, but as the associate producer of the second Star Trek pilot, and the series that followed. In October, 1986, he teamed up with Roddenberry to produce the award winning, TNG.

Jeri Taylor-Creater/Executive Producer:
As Star Trek expanded, so has Jeri Taylor's role in the Star Trek universe. She has been supervising producer, co-producer, executive prdoducer, and co-creator(Voyager). She wrote the teleplay for Voyager's "Eye of The Needle" episode (capturing the crew's painful longing for home) and co-wrote the series opener, "Caretaker". Taylor promoted strong roles for women, as in Sharon Lawrence's portrayal of the heroic Amelia Earhart in Voyager's, "The 37's".

Michael Westmore-Make Up Supervisor:
The multiple-award-winning makeup supervisor for ST:TNG, DS9, Voyager, and "Star Trek: Generations", virtually created the look of every alien introduced over the course of the three series. Although he is particularily proud of his desgn for the Cardassions, Westmore-whose mom was a hairdresser for the Original Series- gives #1 ranking to his robot in ST:TNG's, "Angle One".

Ronald D. Moore-Co-Executive Producer:
Moore wrote the teleplay for ST:TNG's frieghtening two-part, "Chain of Command," which offered an unflinching look at torture and the strength of the human spirit. A ST:TNG producer then a ST:DS9 supervising producer (he wrote many episodes for both), moore also co-wrote "Star Trek: Generations" and "Star Trek: First Contact".

Ira Steven Behr-Executive Producer:
Producer of popular ST:TNG's popular "Sarek" epiosde, Behr became executive producer and a key writer for DS9. Behr is credited with developing the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition. Some tidbits of advice: "More is good.....all is better," "Treat people in you debt like family....exploit them," and "No deep ever goes unpunished". Behr did a great job in coming up with some great plots on Deep Space Nine.

Michael Okuda-Scenic Art Supervisor (No Picture Available):
A highly valued contributer to the ST:TNG, DS9, and Voyager series and "Star Trek: Generations", Okuda (whose wife, Denise, is a Star Trek graphic artist) has created countless control and electronics panels, various alien scripts and trademark, "Okudagrams." Okuda also co-authored, "Star Trek: Chronology," "Star Trek Encyclopedia," and "Star Trek: TNG: Technical Manual."
