Faerie Annex

You follow the sign from the Cyberpets Grove that has a picture of a small winged person on it. You hope the picture means the faeries are this way. You end up in a room with only three walls. The other wall is made up of white columns and is open to the outside. Inside the odd room, there are many odd people flying and sitting on the chairs and couches. They all have beautiful wings. One notices you and flies from her group down to you. She is wearing a blue and black dress and has blue and black wings. Her short hair is raven black and her skin very pale.

"Welcome to our home, traveler," the faerie says to you. "My name is Samantha. May I ask who you are and what you are doing here?" You reply with your name and say that you are exploring. The faerie nods and holds her arm up in a gesture meant to encompass the whole room.

"While you are here, our home is yours," Samantha tells you. You smile in thanks and start looking around the room again. You notice that the faeries all seem to be in separate groups. Samantha notices your puzzled look.

"Is something bothering you?" she asks. You nod and say, "Why are the faeries all in separate groups?" Samantha thinks a moment then replies,"We all came from different places or are different types of faerie. We all get along, but sometimes we group together according to place or type and just talk." You look over the room again and feel a little overwhelmed. Samantha smiles at you and asks, "Would you like to know everyone's name?" You nod gratefully and she laughs. Pointing to the group she flew down from, Samantha says, "The guy with yellow and white wings is Jackson. The girl in the black and purplish-pink dress is Veronica. The guy dressed in black with all-black wings is Dracula. The girl in the red dress is Sorshalyn and the faerie next to her, with purple, pink, and yellow wings, is Cameron. The girl in the purple dress is Raven and the guy next to her, with green, black, and blue wings, is Garret. The girl with blue hair and blue and black wings is Aqua. The guy next to her is Amrek. He has blue and black wings, too. The girl with silver hair is Madame Silverlocks. Her parents named her after her hair. The guy with green and black wings next to Silverlocks is Zach. The two babies are Hunter and Spring." Your head is reeling a bit after all the names and descriptions. Samantha pats you on the shoulder.

"Don't worry," she laughs. "Even we confuse who we are sometimes." She turns and points to another group. This group is almost the same size as the first group, but the faeries are smaller. All these faeries have elegant and colorful dresses.

"They are faerie dolls. They're called dolls because they are so small, they could be used as dolls if they weren't alive. The faerie with the light blue and yellow dress is Mar Yanna. The girl next to her, wearing the green dress and pink stars, is Saharah. She and Mar Yanna are very close friends. The next faerie is Ebony. She's wearing a dark purple dress and has purple wings. She's the best friend of the smallest of the dolls, Raen. Raen has small, rainbow-colored wings. Next to Raen are two dolls who are very close. Sylvia is the doll wearing the pink and white dress. She has pink wings. Her friend, Craya, is wearing a blue and white dress and has dark blue wings. The last three are all loners, usually talking with themselves and no one else. Jade has the flowers on her wings and is wearing a dark green dress. Orchid is carrying a small staff and has purple hair. Monarch is wearing a light blue and seagreen dress and is carrying a butterfly," Samantha rattles off. You wonder how she can keep all the names straight. You're head is still spinning, but you run over the names of all the faeries introduced to far. You are surprised you are able to remember most of them.

You see that there are still two more groups to be named. Samantha turns to her left and points to a group of three faeries around an odd-looking garden. There are only two kinds of flowers and all kinds of edible mushrooms in the garden.

"Rose and Lilly take care of the flowers in the garden. Rose watches over all the roses. She likes to create many different colors, but her favorite is a yellow and pink hybrid. Lilly watches over the flowers that grow on lily pads. She doesn't usually change the colors, preferring to let nature take its course. Her favorite flower is a white lily. Rose and Lilly both have butterflies to help them take care of the flowers. They have the same color wings as the butterfly that helps them. And, lastly, Marsha watches over all the edible mushrooms that grow in the garden. She enjoys walking among them and talking to the sprites that help her take care of the mushrooms," Samantha tells you. She takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. Then she shakes her head and points at the last group.

"Our two resident pixies usually keep to themselves. They are very good friends and are always giggling about something. The pixie with blue hair is named Ariana. The pixie with purple hair is named Aurora," finished, Samantha takes one last deep breath and turns to you. She smiles and asks, "Think you know everyone now?" You nod hesitantly. She laughs and claps you on the back.

"That's okay. It takes a while to get to know everyone," she tells you. Then, hearing someone call her name, Samantha turns and looks over her shoulder.

"If you don't mind, I would like to get back to my friends. You are welcome to look around. Please remember that the alien will take you back to the Grove and the planets will take you back to Remanth's home. Have fun," she tells you before flying back to her group. You sigh and start introducing yourself to the various faeries and pixies in the room.
