Defying the Admiralty
An interesting question. Or, it could've been, had it been phrased correctly. Instead, it hung in the air like the stench of rotten eggs.
"Do you regret any of your actions?"
It was a question with multiple correct answers, and she wondered mildly if they were testing her.
Her first response was to say no, but she did not. That would've been a lie.
Her second response was yes, but she did not. That would have been incomplete.
She took her third option, the one she knew would piss them off.
"I regret it all, Admiral. I regret it all."
