Monarch

As you walk through the meadow, you begin to notice this area becoming more and more scattered with wildflowers - more than in the great expanse where you see unicorns frolicking. Flowers of red, blue, yellow and purple seem to be concentrated here, and insects buzz and whizz by you.

As you look, a flash of orange and black catches your eyes. Such bold colours in a meadow of flowers! You look again for the flash of orange and see it in you periphery so you turn and see a lovely set of butterfly wings!

You then notice they're attached to an equine, who is happily gliding about on said wings. The equine's hooves softly touch down and it breaks into a gallop, and after a few lengths it launches itself right back into the air, tossing it's head and whinnying.

Instead of distracting the equine, you simply partake in the obvious joy it's feeling. However, it's already seen you as it glides up and lands in front of you, tossing it's head.

"Hello there! I hope you are well! My name is Monarch." He grins at you, "I hope you're enjoying the meadow. The unicorns and I have been playing tag with Frigid, have you met her yet? We actually coaxed her out of her glen!" He prances on the spot for a moment in glee. "She really does like her little area, but I prefer here. Flowers don't grow in her glen and I rather enjoy them." He swishes his tail, "You must be wondering - I'm a Feileeah. I'm a cousin of the Faymaah," he leans into you, "That's what Frigid is, a Faymaah."

As Monarch talks you notice that is stark white mane continues down his back, and right into his tail. He's also got soft white stripes on his legs, and white dots on the edges of his wings - much like the monarch butterfly. You figure he must have been named after it.

You chat with Monarch for a bit longer - mostly about flowers as he does seem to enjoy them quite a bit - and then wander on to other parts of the meadow
