Background: Madelyn gained her powers due to a dose of radiation, she joined the Invaders in World War II and met and fell in love with Robert Frank, The Whizzer. Madelyn and Robert were married shortly after the war and basically settled down to an ordinary life, but did still join the V - Battalion and went on occasional missions at Roger Aubrey's request. Whilst working as a guard in a Nuclear Power plant and was exposed to a significant amount of radiation this caused their first child to be born a mutant and their second child to be still-born. Madelyn died giving birth.
