"I wanna go home!" Quatre sobbed. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, followed by several doorbell rings. The butler answered the door to a haggard-looking Duo. Heero walked toward him.
"Duo?"
"Oh, Heero, it was terrible! I thought I could stand one night alone, but I was wrong! And then there was the bartender . . . and those guys in the car . . . and, and that woman!" He looked past Heero to see Relena. "Relena . . ."
"Duo . . ." they stared at each other for a moment. Then Duo started again. He pushed past Heero.
"There're a few things I've always wanted to tell you, but I never had the guts until now," he stopped in front of her. "You think you're so hot, don't you? Well, I've got news for you, your highness! I don't know one person who'd bend over backwards to kiss your ass . . ." he saw Dorothy and pointed to her. ". . . except maybe her." Dorothy screamed and rushed toward Duo. They started fighting: rolling on the ground, swearing, and pulling hair. Ten minutes later Duo, supported by Heero and followed by the other three, was limping home. He had won the fight and earned the right to leave with his friends. (Don't ask.)
"Heero, let's never fight again," Duo said dreamily.
"Buuuuuuut . . . we didn't--"
"It's non-negotionable . . ."
"Uh, you need some sleep, Duo."
"You can't make me! Not that there's finally . . . someone to . . . listen . . . to me . . ." he nodded off, which put Heero in an awkward position, because he was supporting Duo. But they took turns carrying him home (in twos) and soon he was talking in his sleep in the confines of his own room.
