Fireball, fireball, how did that spell go....?
What Dragonlance reader wouldn't remember that scene?
Fizban is a figure which makes the Dragonlance Saga much more lively and fun. His being one way of a
God to show himself to mortals seems almost
unimportant.
As he accompanies the Companions in their quest to
salvage Good in a world almost controlled by the Dark Queen, Seldom does he
get a bit more serious than his habitual crazy self.
But when he does, it's when it's needed and it does the job.
Like every good Sage Wizard, Fizban doesn't ever tell all he knows.
He gives hints and plants ideas but no more than that.
Unless there's no choice.
Zifnab is actually the same character. The Weis-Hickman team doesn't even try to conceal it (so, when he's asked for his name he says (In his usual
confused way - "Fiz, no used that one, Zifnab, that's
it").
