“So you’ve decided to breed Bright Eyes?” asked Helena Johnson.

“You don’t mind do you?” responded Mark, anxious not to be misunderstood by his wife of three years who was expecting their second child.

“You want to have a piece of Katherine’s past ready for her return.” She hugged him, secure in his love. “We know Molly won’t be there.”

Mark blinked rapidly. The verdict had come days before, Molly’s time was numbered in weeks. “There is plenty of room for babies and puppies at our new homestead.”

“Well I’m glad you got them in the right order this time.”
