Who hates the PlayStation and Dreamcast?

I'm putting this page up, not just because the only systems I have are Nintendo based and that nothing else matters. I have seen PlayStation games and Dreamcast as well, and quite frankly, they stink, like rotten cheese that's been left behind the radiator for an entire decade. I guess this page is up to express my opinions...on rotten game systems. But, I must admit that there are some good qualties for the systems. So there you have it...

    First up...Sony's PlayStation
Sony is a good electronics company (stereos, TV's), but the gaming department just doesn't add up to the other things that make Sony great. First off, PlayStation games are released waaayyy to quickly. They have no depth, no challenge, no quality, no thought. PlayStation hopes to draw in gamers by using awesome graphics for a game. But no one game can be great, by simply having good graphics. It just won't do. Games need uniqueness, challenge, innovations, and of course graphics. Take Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I have to admit, the game doesn't have graphics compared to say, Resident Evil 2, but it is still being hailed as one the best games ever made. I can only list a few good games for PlayStation, but like I said, only a few. What also ticks me off about the PlayStation, is that all their great games origninated on some particular Nintendo console. But I guess that's not Sony's fault, it's the game developers'.

A Little Leniency for Sega's Dreamcast
You've gotta give Sega some credit for releasing advanced systems ahead of everyone else. They kind of get the ball rolling for everyone else to jump in the bandwagon. I'm sure they mean better, and they could probably make great games, but they're always shutdown by the newer, better systems the competition shoots out. Personally, I really like the Sonic games. They are quite fun, and the new 3-D Sonic looks promising. But looking past all that, and analyzing the system itself, the games look like any other games found on the N64 or PSX (PlayStation), except not as blocky. But that's only because their new processor can view more polygons per second. Also, doesn't the Dreamcast controller look oddly familiar? It sure looks a lot like the Mako Pad 64 (for those who don't know what the Mako Pad looks like, it's just the same as a regular N64 controller, but instead, the analog joystick is put next to the directional pad.)

    The Wrap Up...
I personally think the new line of Next-Gen systems are coming out a little too early (Nex-Gen systems like Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, and Project Dolphin.) The Nintendo 64 still has a lot of life left in it. Games like Jet Force Gemini, or Perfect Dark, and even Pokémon Stadium are still yet to be released. So, this ends my first editorial, thank you for reading. Til next time...
