Yyberian Ice Guard of Vladivan...........125 points

Yyberian Ice Guard come from the coldest areas of Vladivan. They are resolute fighters, who in their proud and glorious history have not once broken or run from the enemy. However, this has meant that a lot of Ice Guard have died holding their position. They are at their best when they fight in a native climate, of Ice and Cold. They do however perform operations in temperate climates, but nothing hotter.

You may take three squads of Ice Guard, but you must also have an Ice Guard HQ. You may, if you wish, take an entire army of Ice Guard. In essence, they can be taken just like normal IG troops. A squad of Ice Guard consists of 9 Ice Guard plus one Ice Guard Sergeant.

Weapons and Armour: Ice Guard wear flak armour (6+ save, 5+ against blast markers). Ice Guard carry Lasguns. Two models may become a Heavy Weapons team (see Codex: IG for costs). One model may swap his lasgun for a special or assault weapon. The Sergeant carries a bolt-pistol and sword. He may choose from the Assault weapons list. All models carry frag grenades.

Special Rules: You may mobilise the squad in a Chimera for 140 points. Ice Guard are tough fighters, and thus will never break from casualties sustained by any means, although they can break due to terror, psychic powers, etc. If applicable, Ice Guard are immune to the effects of the Climatic conditions of: Cold, Ice and Snowstorm. If you wish to make an Ice Guard command HQ, or an Ice Guard Heavy Weapons squad, use the same rules and statistics, but add 20 points to the cost of the squad.. Please note that Ice Guard rules do NOT benefit vehicle crew or characters, e.g. a Colonel or Commissar don't get Ice Guard rules.
