DAEMONS (Note: I have never used daemons of any other god than Khorne, so only tactics for Khornate Daemons are given)

Khornate Daemons

Yes, with that big squad of Bezerkers you'll have enough summoning points for a Bloodthirster! Khornate daemons must appear within a few inches of a model bearing the mark of Khorne, so it is a good idea to bring in those Daemons right into the melee. This has two effects:

1. You are effectively boosting the power of the Bezerker squad with Daemonic support.
2. You have a new unit of powerful HtH creatures that cause fear.

More on specific Khornate Daemons.

The Bloodthirster

If you need help to use this bloke, you shouldn't be playing Chaos. Basically, this SOB (no, not sister of battle...) need only avoid Inquisitors and Grey Knights. It's those damn Inquisitorial powers that always get my 'thirster. Apart from those two troops, a 'thirster can take on anything. Even an Eldar Avatar.

Flesh Hounds

These are very nasty creatures. Be thankful they are on your side. They are perfect anti-psyker tools, immune to psychic powers and able to charge any model they choose with TWENTY(!) inches. If you are going up against an opponent equipped with Force Weapons, or any weapon which a Daemon is velnerable to, attack in a large pack so the last few overwhelm the poor soul.

Bloodletters

The 'grunt' of Khorne's army. The Hellblade is quite a nasty sword, and Bloodletters can triple their move rate to charge, like Bezerkers! Regeneration is like having an extra 4+ save that is *never* negated! Get these Daemons into combat quickly, as their low toughness means they are vulnerable to shooting. Keep them away from pyskers, as they especially vulnerable to psychic powers.

Juggernaut of Khorne

I love the model, and at 50 points is well worth giving to a Champion as a Chaos Reward, if only for the 7" move (and the great model). They cause fear and attack as well as the rider, so you are doubling the potency of the Champion that is riding.

ON POSSESSING TELEPORTING TROOPS

This is a great rule (for the Chaos player). Every time an enemy model uses the warp by *any* means, a roll must be made. On a 1 the model is possessed by a Daemon model of the Chaos players choice! This is great deterrant against Warp Spiders, Teleporting Terminators, etc. Imagine your opponents terror on seeing that prized Wolf Guard Terminator turn into a Flesh Hound, or that tooled-up Warp Spider Exarch melt into Bloodthrister! I always take a few Daemons when going up against Eldar or SMs, for obvious reasons. The most important bit of possessing an enemy troop is to laugh maniacally afterwards. Try it now: Bwahahahahaha! Ahahahaha! [roll all over floor laughing, hitting floor and clutching stomach] :)
