Before the Heresy, Icaracus was a techmarine in the Iron Warriors. He remained so in the heresy, but afterwards, it became clear that all the Iron Warriors wanted from their Techmarines was seige equipment. Icaracus had never been much of a maintainer, as he prefered to invent things from scratch. He had invented many ingenious devices, such and the self-ejecting krak bomb, and the Sprill-based Flange Transmogrifier (don't ask what it does...). However, with his fall into Chaos came a new obsession.
Slowly but surely, Daemonic possession befell his machines in the Eye of Terror. Alas, he did not know that Daemons could possess machines, and was convinced he was going mad. The voices, he thought, were from his own mind. And with anything that one believes for long enough, it may become fact. Icaracus was driven mad by his own belief and the insane ravings of the multitudes of little daemons inside his equipment.
He began inventing terrible items of destruction. He lost his own arm to a mis-detonated Vortex generator that he himself barely escaped from. In it's place he engineered a Heavy Flamer. In battle he found that he was never close enough to the enemy; to correct this, he created a Jump Pack based on archaic technology. His problem was solved! Over the centuries, his armour has slowly been smothered with small devices, most of which act upon their own accord. Almost all of them are possessed by Daemons; but now he sees them as his "little friends" and is often seen talking to them in and out of battle, occasionally giving them a whack should they grow too irksome.

| The Armour of Icaracus......20 points |
| The Armour of Icaracus is a normal suit of armour, but which has been adapted over millennia. It has been possessed by so many Daemons that it almost has a life of it's own! This has the following effects: It raises his attacks profile by 4, giving him a total of 5 attacks. Also, due to the multitude of gibbering Daemons, he causes terror. |
| The Boom Pack......10 points |
| The Boom Pack is a rather large jump pack that Icaracus uses to fly over his fellow soldiers to get to the enemy quicker. It is very noisy and creates whole clouds of smoke, often meaning the enemy has scattered before he gets to them!
The Boom Pack can be used just like a normal Jump Pack. However, whenever he uses it, do the following. Every 4" along his path, count it as if a smoke grenade had detonated on it. |
