Shipping charges include postage, box and
packing material costs, and a little for the drive to the
shipper. We live in a rural area and if we drive to the Post Office
with 1 or 2 packages, we've lost money. Media items such as books or CDs or movies are fairly
reasonable and will generally run about $4 for each item and that price is
what is on the product page. That is
pretty fair and straight forward. Anything but media ships USPS Parcel Post or UPS ground. That means that shipping costs vary by Zip Code. If we ship a steak grill to Oregon, it will cost over $20 just for postage but can ship the same grill to Kentucky for about $10. If we use a UPS Store, there are other fees so we try to stick with the USPS. We will attempt to include a shipping weight on the information page about each item so you might calculate your shipping cost by visiting the USPS Rate Calc page and entering our Zip Code, (46055) as shipping from and then your Zip Code as the destination. We use this page and it is very easy. Just add $3.00 to that calculated cost for packing materials. |
