The CIA and Psychic Research    The Spy

Is the CIA still exploring psychic phenomenon?  There was a lot of hoopla a couple of years ago about all the money being spent on the psychic research and then it sort of died down.  It seems to me that they were spending about a million a year on this research which is not even a drop in the bucket of the nation's budget.

It isn't that we need the government having agents that spy on us. That thought in itself is awful enough but we do need someone willing to spend money on research.  Hopefully that research will spill over into the private sector or, at the very least, the agency will pass off the research to someone on the outside to hide what they are doing because if they were having any kind of success with the project, they wouldn't just let it die.

We don't hear about private sector businesses doing research into remote viewing or psychic message transmission.  Does this mean no one is doing it or that the companies doing it are keeping it well under wraps. The problem with research into the spiritual realm is that you are going to get hammered by some group or the other whatever the outcome.

If you are successful, you couldn't say much because your competitors are going to be pretty nervous. If you aren't successful, why waste the money and give your competitors something to make fun of you with?

What do you think?  More importantly, what do you know?
