Deepening and Other Patters

     Deepening is one of the more odd subjects you will explore in your studies of the mind.  There are books full of things you might try after you perfect your delivery but you must first learn to help people achieve the very deep state.  The material here does that.  You must remember to always walk your subjects back up or down or through whatever technique you used so you can reverse the deepening effect.

     Sometimes you count up and sometimes you count down.  People respond differently to words and visions so you need to learn several techniques. You might also wish to leave the person alone for a couple of minutes to speak to the cosmos through the spiritual being you can call up for them.  Start slowly and work your way into more as you gain knowledge and experience.  Use your imagination as you guide your subjects through this new world.  It is a thrilling experience.


Basic Deepening

     Now I am going to count from 5 to 1 and you are going to go deeper and deeper asleep with every count I make and every breath you take.  5, going down deeper and deeper asleep.  4, going down deeper and hearing and understanding every word that I speak.  3, deeper and deeper asleep.  2, deeper and nearer the deepest relaxation you have ever experienced.  1, all the way down now.  You are all the way down now to the deepest relaxation possible.


Stairway To Relaxation

     Now I want you to picture in your mind's eye a softly lit, carpeted stairway.  You are standing at the top of the stairway and know that when you reach the bottom you will be completely relaxed in every way.  As I count from 10 to 1 you will walk slowly down the stairway, relaxing with every breath you take, every step you take, and every word I speak.  You will always hear, understand, and respond to my voice.

     10, now begin your trip down the stairway to complete relaxation.  9, going down slowly.  8, it is such a pleasant trip.  7, going down slowly.  6, going deeper and deeper asleep.  5, the carpet is so soft to your feet and so beautiful to your eyes.  4, going down slowly.  3, walking slowly down the stairway - almost to the bottom now and going deeper and deeper asleep.  2, one step to go.  1, all the way down to the basement of relaxation.


Golden Stairway To Relaxation

     Now you are relaxed completely and I want you to imagine in your mind's eye that you are standing at the foot of a beautiful, golden stairway leading upwards into infinity.  Go ahead, picture this in your mind's eye.  A beautiful golden stairway.  As I count from 1 to 10 you will climb this beautiful stairway to total self awareness.  This beautiful golden stairway leads upwards forever.  We are going to go up the first 10 levels or steps.  With each count you will go higher and higher and become more and more relaxed.

     1, begin climbing up this beautiful golden stairway.  2, such a beautiful trip.  So wonderful and so soothing.  3, you feel so wonderful climbing this stairway.  Feeling your awareness growing stronger and more sensitive with each step that you take.  4, climbing higher.  Enjoying this beautiful, beautiful trip.  Positive, loving, peace surrounds you.  5, as you look out over the edge you can see all of creation and you feel so wonderful.  6, such a soothing feeling as you climb.  So beautiful.  7, climbing up, up.  8, we're going to stop soon and you will enjoy this trip so immensely.  9, almost to the top now.  A wonderful, soft glow of relaxation covers you like a blanket from the tips of your toes to the top of your head.  10, all the way up, such a beautiful, wonderful feeling.

     Now you are on a balcony overlooking all of creation.  In the distance you see a movie screen moving towards you until it fills the space in front of you.  You are at peace and you feel a warm, loving, and healing presence on the balcony with you.  You can ask questions of the presence and you will receive answers.  A very comfortable, loving, and healing feeling overcomes you.  I will leave you alone for about 2 minutes to talk to the presence.  You will see answers on the movie screen as pictures and words and you will remember what you see, and then you will hear, understand, and respond to my voice.  See and feel the presence and communicate with it.  Now sleep deeper and deeper.

After 2 minutes.......

     Now you hear and understand my voice and are ready now to walk back down the stairway.  You have learned to relax very deeply and this ability will stay with you always.  It's such a wonderful feeling and you enjoy it so very much.  Very pleasant, very wonderful feeling.  You will look forward to this experience again and again many times.  You will be able to relax so very deeply any time that you wish.  As I count from 10 to 1 you will walk back down the stairway.  With each count you will feel stronger and stronger in your will and desire to relax.  And you know that anytime in the future that you wish to relax deeply you will be able to do so.  Now you know and understand the meaning and feeling of relaxation and will look forward to it again and again.

     10, starting the walk back down the stairway.  So very gently and slowly, you're in no hurry.  9, coming down slowly, you're so very comfortable and relaxed.  8, enjoying every moment of your trip and feeling the heightened awareness of your mind and the exhilarating sense of total and complete relaxation.  7, coming down slowly.  On the count of 1 you will be wide awake.  6, coming down.  5, you've enjoyed this experience so very much.  4, very pleasant, such a wonderful, wonderful feeling.  3, the feeling of relaxation will stay with you.  2, coming down, coming down slowly.  1, you feel renewed life forces flowing through your body, you are waking up.  You can and you will open your eyes, all the way down now and wide awake.  Wide awake now.  Feeling wonderful and wide awake.  What a great feeling.


Tunnel To Deep Relaxation

     Now you will picture in your mind's eye the entrance to a beautiful, softly lit tunnel with a faint light showing at the other end which is some distance away.  This light represents total relaxation for you and as I count from 10 to 1 you will walk slowly towards this light, relaxing deeper with every step you take.

     10, start walking slowly now.  9, going deeper asleep and hearing and understanding every word I speak.  8, you notice the light is getting a little brighter as you move forward.  7, going deeper asleep.  6, total relaxation is near.  5, the light is soft and pleasing to you.  4, moving closer and going deeper asleep.  3, almost at the end now.  2,  you are going deeper now than you thought possible.  1, now step out to the world of total relaxation.

This is good place to offer suggestions about well being and positive thinking and things that would benefit the person's life in a positive way.  Then, as always, bring the person back through the tunnel to wake up.

     Now you hear and understand my voice.  We are going to walk back through the tunnel and you will be wide awake when we step out.  10, start walking back through the tunnel now to this time and place.  9, very relaxed and comfortable.  8, you are slowly moving through the tunnel and know that when we reach the end you will be wide awake and feeling wonderful.  7, coming back.  You notice the end of the tunnel is moving closer now.  6, walking back.  5, walking slowly and beginning to awaken.  4,  moving closer to the end now.  3,  awakening more as the end of the tunnel approaches.  2, ready now to step back to this world, at this time and place.  You are waking up now.  You can and you will open your eyes. 1, wide awake now.  Feeling wonderful.  What a pleasant journey.


Private Island

     Now I want you to imagine in your mind's eye that you are standing on top of a small hill overlooking the most beautiful garden spot you have ever seen.  Below you there are flowers of every color in the rainbow.  You see red, blue, green, white, pink, and violet, flowers.

     You can see tall majestic trees that offer cool shade next to the streams that flow through your valley.  That's right, your valley where you can come to whenever you feel the need to be alone.

     Now let's walk down the hill and follow the path around the beautiful beds of flowers and then to the shade trees where you can sit down and rest a moment.  Enjoying the peace and beauty that surrounds you.  Now you can come to the island at will.  There will be no fear.  Only peace that you are looking for.  Now let's leave the island and return to normal.  It has been a pleasant trip and you have enjoyed it but it is time now to awaken.

     Now I am going to count from 1 to 3 and gently snap my fingers and you will awaken.  You will be refreshed, relaxed, and looking forward to being relaxed again.  1, you are beginning to awaken.  2, you feel renewed life forces flowing through your entire body.  Life is better now as you open your eyes.  3, wide awake now.  Open your eyes and feel very, very, wonderful now.
