        The Bynars are a unisexual race native to the planet Bynaus, third
planet in orbit around Sigma Regonis.  However, the other two planets
before Byanus were destroyed in a stellar nova in 2363.  The Bynars
central computer network was only saved due to the actions or a pair of
Bynars and the USS Enterprise-D (see "11001001").
        
        Bynars are give birth as they reach maturity, and children are always
born in pairs, linked to each other for the rest of their lives.  Due to
this, Bynars are not found anywhere without their subsequent partner,
even in Starfleet and the Federation.

        They are small, and thin compared to othe rhumanoids, but have strong
mental aptitudes.  A normally intelligent species, the Bynars have
enhanced this by using exceptional computer technology.  They hav e a
buffer unit directly linked into their brain that processes information
(such as their high speed chatter speech) into their brains at a rate
they can comprehend and utilize.  Due to this, they are oftne called
upon by Starfleet as computer upgraders, and technical specialists. 
Otherwise, Bynars are almost never found as active members of a
starship, or even starbase crew, as they prefer to stay on their
homeworld, near their main computer network.

        Bynar names are spoken as computer code, in binary tounge, composed
entirley of ones and zeroes (ie. 110101).

        (Due to the pairing nature of Bynar society, it is extremely difficult
to play these aliens as a player-character in Holoworld.  A player who
wishes to, should discuss it with the admirals and the potential
commanding officer, to make sure all approve, and are certain the player
cna handle the complex nature o playing a Bynar.)
