When the doctors release him, he is to be placed in the brig. The Audre Lorde and the Ruby Nova move in to pull the Yeager away from OP721 with their tractor beams. Although a scraping collision cannot be avoided, the Yeager is saved from total destruction. A lot of Telmarc ships are destroyed due to their disabled shields, but the Federation cannot save the outpost. The crews of the Horizon and OP721 begin to evacuate and several ships take on the survivors. Burke works hard to get as many people into the escape pods as possible, before he is beamed out to the USS Threin. All who were aboard the Horizon are evacuated just in time, including the injured and even the dead. The Horizon collides head on with the outpost and is completely destroyed. The entire SpecOps team grieves as one for the loss of their home. The Yeager beams the away teams on the Manticore back. CMO Xixx treats CSO Readdy's injuries. When the Yeager collides with OP721, a new wave of injured is brought in, the captain being one of them. Readdy wakes up and is concerned for the fate of the ship and crew. They retreat from the field of battle. After a quick tour of all the Horizon's survivors, Burke goes to the Threin's bridge to meet the CO, Lt. Nova'Song. Ensign Epona O'Leary, freshly graduated from the Academy, arrives by D-Warp and hears of the Horizon's destruction. Lt. Nova'Song tells her to come to the Threin instead. ******************* ************************************************* ******************************** USS HERMES CO: GM: ******************************** De-commissioned Dry Docked for re-fit ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Earle Hayes. ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don ***************** Ens Jax reports aboard as Chief Science Officer. He rescues his brother, Mox, from an asteroid. Mox had been on his way to Rissa when he was abducted from his starliner. Until Mox's situation is straightened out, he will be staying with Jax. Jax introduces himself to members of his department. Jax begins to investigate the fungus growing in the station's power core. An unknown person, disguised in an energy cloak, has managed to sneak aboard the station and is also following the fungal growth. He wonders whether the fungus is a by-product of the station's organic nature and if it could have been deliberatly triggered. He reports his findings to Cpt Alyza. The fungus was not present six years ago when the station purged itself of all foreign matter. Cpt Alyza begins preparations for evacuation, just in case. Chief Smallwood starts preparing every shuttle, runabout, starship for use. While using the turbolift Jax sees a shimmer of reflected light. He senses that someone is indeed present, but not visible. Alarmed he initiates a station-wide Intruder Alert. Ens Burton manages to trap the cloaked intruder in a turbolift and Securtiy takes custody of him. Once in the brig and undergoing medical evaluation, the intruder takes advantage of a momentary power blip to escape. Mox goes to Club 101, where he strikes up a conversation with another customer -- a woman named Marina DaSilva. Marina plans to open a shop on the station. Soon the two are making plans to meet for dinner and discuss a business partnership. On Fascinum VI T'al awakens aboard the wrecked shuttle. His wound is tended by Brooks. The shuttle is being slowly buried under snow and its power supplies are swiftly draining away. They soon decide that a Bachara base must be nearby and decide to find it before they are discovered. The gather supplies and using the last of the shuttle's transport energy beam into a darkened cavern. Exploring the cavern they soon hear the sounds of footsteps. Cautiously they advance and open fire on two Bachara agents -- a Telmarc female and her companion whose species is questionable...either Juun or Bajoran. They quickly strip the unconscious bodies of useful equipment. Burton leaves the injured T'al to watch over their pair of prisoners and explores further into the cavern. While waiting T'al is attacked by a swarm of 'cave spiders'. After frying several of them with his phaser, T'al scrambles down the cave corridor to escape. He manages to stumble upon the complex's underground shuttlebay, complete with several types of Federation-style shuttles and runabouts. With the last of his strength, T'al takes out one guard and gets aboard a Danube-Class runabout. The Bachara Supreme Lord, Miri Hara, receives the reports of the past several days actions. He is displeased that T'al's and Brooks' bodies were not found in the crashed shuttle. The Bachara, a multispecies group, main goal is to oust the Federation from the Cocoon and for themselves to assume a position of power within the Cocoon. ************************ ************************************* USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Captain Pol Canon GM: Doug ************************************* The Nightingale's new OPS officer, Ens. Michael Fallon, arrived on the scene. He encountered a Lyraen ship as he passed through their space en route to the 'Gale. They allow Fallon to proceed with no further interruption. Captain Pol Canon continued to wait the arrival of the 'Gale at Deep Space 101. Meanwhile, Commander Stuart carries on with his monitoring of a training simulation on board the USS Nightingale involving Lt. Hanson, Lt. Pelgrims, Lt. Mao'Syllis, as well as Cadet Nevets, his dog Keo, and Cadet Nim Lister. The team believes they are aboard an "alien vessel" once controlled by Master Cr'ecekex nicknamed 'Chex'. After disabling Chex's minion Lucen, the crew of the 'Gale attempted to pilot the strange vessel back home while playing cat and mouse with Chex's monstrous mother ship. Next, Chex's ship locked a tractor beam onto the fleeing vessel, while the cadets worked to translate the alien language. The tractor beam, and consequently the mysterious hologram ship, disappeared as the Nightingale approached and the simulation program ended. The crew found themselves facing Stuart and T'Vek, surrounded by the familiar holodeck grid pattern. The 'Gale's commander sent the tired crew off duty for some much needed R&R, except for Syllis, who went to sickbay for needed medical attention. Ensign Michael Fallon reported for duty and settled in to position, while Gabriel and Ensign Debra Michaels formed an 'interesting' relationship, and the Klingon Kort relieved frustrations in a jungle in the holodeck. Later, Pelgrims and Stuart have a heart-to-heart talk about Gabe's feelings toward Debra, and in the process, reveal his lost love, a fiancé named el I A ne from his academy days. Her death in a shuttle accident haunts him still. Lt. Benu repaired Syllis' injuries. She leaves sickbay as she and Lt. Hanson prepare for duty. Almost as soon as Lt. Hanson arrives on the bridge, Comm. Stuart calls Dennis in his office to discuss the CGT sim. He concludes that the team worked well together and pulled out of what was supposed to have been "impossible" odds. Stuart and Captain Canon are set to review recommendations when they arrive at DS 101. ************************************ Respectfully Submitted Don Fleet GM fleetgm-put the at symbol here -yahoogroups -put a dot here - com
