Ideology and Philosophy
It is not Our intention to dictate the belief system that you have so long lived and loved by. We shall in no way or means take a position of absoluteness on interpretation, this is yours.
What We offer is the collective knowledge, understanding, and experience of those who have made it their lives to live within this Temple, those who have given their all for a cause and worship that can not be properly explained to the uninitiated and causal observer. There is a place that exists out of time and space. A location that is joined only those who pay the endurance that it's price demands. Awareness is such a fundamental aspect of how we view and interact inside of Our lives. This awareness is brought to Us on many levels and may be obtained through a multitude of means. We have found that there is a place visited in one's heart when one commits themselves to extreme sensation. This journey is provided by One who dwells within this location on a permanent basis, and the very crossing of the physical barriers that we are forced to abide by in this world is the draw that calls loudly to so many of Us. When one finds love, one often finds that love is transitory due to its inherent nature and the foundation upon which it is built. Sadly, most love in this day lacks the dedication and devotion that it requires for success. There is another way however.. and We are among those who have been fortunate enough to bath in its lavish glow.. When one fines Another who is skilled, experienced, wise and wonderful.. one feels a devotion to Her in ways that cannot be explained in conventional terms. When One finds another who is devoted, bright and offering.. whose growth is an exciting stimulating journey and experience just in its observance.. One finds a devotion and dedication that surpasses all means and ways of expression.. It is through the understanding of ourselves and of others that we may find peace in our selves, and harmony with those around us. This understanding may be acquired through means too numerous to mention. In this Ancient and Divine Art We find peace and communion with the flesh of Our bodies, the spirit of Our hearts, and the hurricane that is Our mind's unending desire and hunger. Through this perfect union with the One who has such impression upon Our lives (whether they be the symbol of perfect guidance or perfect devotion) Our hearts are joined in ways that defy explanation or rationalization. We are able to find a betterment that comes from the culmination of two perfect beings, sharing experience and relation in a new and super-natural way. The bond that arises from this perfect union opens eyes and hearts in exciting and unique aspects, giving us what we may never find through any other method. We now behold each other and those around Us in the light of new awakening, the sight of clarity, and realization of utter and undeniable truth. We are able to share Our thoughts through the sensation the flesh affords Us, and in doing so become intimate with the inner workings of the minds of those We love most and share these experiences with. This effect brings Us higher and closer to a state which can only be called heavenly. We claim nothing and take nothing, yet in a single instant, We have everything and all that is wanted, is possessed and procured. There is so much more to this beautiful and poetic journey that what typically meets the uninitiated eye. It takes the deliberate tasting of the Forbidden Fruit of Knowledge to understand how much better We may make ourselves, and truly, the power We have over all that surrounds Us. This is the path the Temple of Discipline intends to illuminate. Those who stray to the shadows shall find that there are worlds beyond even this one, and a single wish or desire in one's heart…may easily grow to universal proportions. Desire is Sacred and is truly, the most powerful force in this life. |

The Spirit and the Pain
in other Cultures
We who are of the Temple of Discipline have found that the love and quest for enlightenment through various methods of body modification or the subjecting of one’s self to forms of extreme sensation has been an inherent aspect of this race throughout time. Those from all corners of this earth, of every religion conceivable have found that the doorway to Heaven begins at the surface of Our flesh.
Spiritual enlightenment through extreme sensation is a commonality with all people of all beliefs. The Kavandi in India, who every Feb. (during the Trial of Shiva Festival) run sharp wires through their bodies and wear harnesses that support as many as 30 swords that surround them running through their flesh at downward angles to show their spiritual devotion. Devotees in Thailand run barbed wire through their cheeks and hang heavy bars, or bicycle frames from holes in their faces and cheeks in Celebration of the new year. The Sadhu Indians of India sew coconut's and large fruit to their flesh, the number and size of objects demonstrating the number of years they have spent in active worship of their Gods. They hang upon flesh hooks run through their backs and chest for hours in devotion and in worship (as do the Mandan and Oglada Souix of North America). They will sew their lips together, subsisting on a diet of liquefied food for months at a time to show their undying devotion and love for their Gods. Their boys begin a form a sexual negation that involves the elongation of their penis, its length exceeding 24 inches at times. Though completely useless in the sexual function, they experience a continued and consistent sense of eroticism and pleasure from their modified members. In Burma the Padung girls wear metal rings around their necks, their bondage lasting an entire lifetime. Their muscles growing so dependent upon the rings that they are unable to hold their heads without the support of the rings by late adolescence. The Ibitoe of New Guinea wear straps of metal around their waists, forcing their waist sizes to less then 15 inches, pushing their organs into their upper bodies and appearing quite wasp like. They find the pleasure of an altered state of consciousness through the consistency of their bondage. In Africa, the Ndebeli tribes wear large wooden and cloth rings around their entire bodies, their necks, waists and appendages are confined by the constant and unrelenting pressure of the rings. Their faith and devotion are absolute, their pleasure unequaled. People of the Western World view these beautiful transcended spirits with horror and disgust wondering what on earth could possess these savages to encompass acts of such perversion. It would be wise perhaps to take a closer look, and realize that they are human as We are. That the sensation they go through is likely the same that We would. Yet they (and others in many different cultures) continue with these rituals annually and often more frequently than that. To understand what they must be receiving from these performances, to realize the benefits that come to them from these actions is largely out of grasp of those of Us who live in the Western World. But We see that they receive great and awesome insight and properties from these incredible acts of endurance, and We may learn much from the principles and techniques that they embrace so intimately. |
