History:
Born in Osaka, Japan in 2350, Jayde comes from a long family line of Kirishimas. His great-grandfather was a descendant of the warrior Chaimu Kirishima. Jayde entered Starfleet Academy in 2364, having worked as a cabby and bus boy at a restaurant before. He struggled a little in his studies of starship security, and almost dropped out of the Academy. When news spread that his mother and father were dying from an incurable disease, Jayde quickly rushed to be by their side one last time. He promised that he would make them proud of him once he completed his studies at Starfleet Academy. Following their death, Jayde took a semester off to honor his parents. He returned to the Academy in 2365, studying extensively. He graduated in 2367 and went into Security/Tactical School immediately after. He graduated that school in 2370, as valedictorian. The hard work of Jayde caught the eye of Captain Caroline Rhodes, commanding officer of the Zhukov. From 2370 to 2373, Jayde worked effortlessly and positively, gaining the respect of the entire Zhukov crew. In late 2373, he was promoted to lieutenant commander and remained to serve as the ship’s chief tactical/security officer. In mid 2374, an away team mission went horribly wrong on Jayde’s watch and distraught at the loss of men, he resigned his commission from Starfleet. Captain Rhodes was apparently saddened to see one of her best leave, and so Jayde journeyed to Chal to start a new life for himself. When the Zhukov was in the system while under attack by mysterious forces, Jayde returned but only as an overseer. He did not wish to be reinstated and Rhodes understood that. After the success of the mission, Jayde returned to Chal, where he has been to this day.

In his days as security chief and tactical officer on the Zhukov, he found romance in Ensign Sayaka Minimasu, one of his security officers. The two hit it off quite well, as they had the same things in common. The two were inseparable until the day of what would be Jayde’s final mission as an officer on board the Zhukov. Sayaka and Jayde were the only survivors. Seeing as how he did not want to lose anyone else, he told Sayaka that he would be resigning his commission. Sayaka did not take the news lightly and she wanted to be with him. But Jayde needed time for himself. Sayaka agreed, but she would eventually remain on the Zhukov and take Jayde’s post.
