PERSONALITY:  Melodrama and prissiness are the only two words that can describe Gwyneth. One moment she's the snobby princess and the next a cryingbaby because she broke a talon. Everything she does is taken to the extreme, and the only person she'll really listen to is you. You're the controlling factor in her life and when she's young it's up to you to tone down her mercurial characteristics. Her favorite topic is herself, but you come in a close second. It'll take a strong mind to control her and not let her get her way all the time. She likes to get her way, and if one tactic won't work, she'll flip-flop and try another. If pouting doesn't work, she'll whine.

<<But /Kymra/ my skin doesn't have the same shine as Ilyth's>>

And if that doesn't work, she'll try pride.

<<Kymmie, you don't want Tylenth looking better than I do, do you?>>

Gwyneth always likes looking her best and she may refuse to leave the weyr or even her couch when she's younger until she's sure that she looks wonderful. In fact, you may find yourself investing in a large mirror to try to satisfy her vanity. For all her difficulties, though, Gwyneth doesn't have a mean bone in her body. When she's forced to acknowledge the rest of the world, she's very considerate. She never truly involves herself, but she sympathizes with other's injuries or problems. And Gwyneth likes to know /everything/ that is going on in the Weyr. She's an eternal gossip and with try her manipulative tactics on older dragons and her clutchmates. She hates to be out of 'the know', and if someone knows something before she does, you'll be sure to hear about it.

<<I can't believe Zyelth told Timoth before he told me!>>

Every slight is a personal affront and it'll take all your understanding and patience to convince her that Zyelth told Timoth first only because the other dragon was there and not because he was slighting her. Gwyneth never does anything by halves, so when she's angry, everyone will know. But once she forgives, she puts the past behind her and starts the friendship where it left off.

When it comes to feeding, Gwyneth goes into it with whole-hearted enthusiasm. Amazingly, she's not a finicky eater, <<I like to have somevariety in my diet>> and will select her chosen beast carefully, not one to go with whatever is closest or easiest. She also likes to experiment, and will try to compare the virtues of captive animals to those caught in the southern continent. <<There is something different in the flavor.>> She feels no compunction about killing herdbeasts, after all, they die to sustain beautiful her. They should be proud of the honor.

Mating flights are all encompassing for Gwyneth, and she truly excels and enjoys them. Only the strongest, swiftest, and fastest may catch her because she's like the wind. Fast, lithe, and flexible, she's able to do the tightest turns and has the maneuvers to make a flight difficult on her suitors. Since she takes everything to the extreme, her proddiness is your proddiness. She'll affect you in ways you never thought possible; you thought A'razi was bad, wait 'til you see Kymra before a flight!

PHYSICAL:  Gwyneth is petite, willowy, and graceful, even as an awkward dragonet. She's very concerned about her appearance, and will never let you slide when she feels that she needs oiling. She'll bug and pester you until you finally give in to her demands, and you may find yourself oiling her not once and day, but two or three times. She knows that she looks her best with the light sheen that the oil gives her. Bathing is another one of her favorite pastimes, and between that and oiling, you're going to be glad that she so small. When she's young, you're going to have to convince her that being on the smaller end of the green scale isn't bad. But once you do, she'll never doubt herself again, and once she has her first flight and sees the advantages of her small frame, she'll revel in her slight stature. Gwyneth has no fear when it comes to flying, which can both be a good and a bad thing. You'll need to remind her of her limits, and she'll invariably try to force them. Gwyneth loves to fly; she loves to revel in her quickness, her ability to out-maneuver any other dragon. And she loves to share the experience with you. When you're both together, zinging through the air, it's the closest time between you both. It's just you and Gwyneth, no outside influences. Flying together is your special time.

When Gwyneth isn't flying, she's sunning herself or regarding herself in any shiny surface. <<Sun is good for the skin>> you see. And well, how could any creature as lovely as her /not/ admire themselves. But for all her idolatry, she would still rather be flying, rather feel the wind under her wings. And she'd rather share the experience with you.

MIND VOICE:  Faint and elusive, like a song or perhaps a sigh on the wind, her light feminine voice is always there, always in some recess of your mind. It's coupled with the light smell of jasmine that pervades everything around her. Even her couch when empty still retains the elusive jasmine scent. When she becomes upset, the light airy sound of her voice deepens and darkens into a storm-like quality, and can deafen on occasion.

HATCHING MESSAGE:  Wild gyrations stop for one moment, the eye of the storm. All is calm and serene before a loud crash is heard and the shards of the Prestorm Gales Egg go flying in a cyclone pattern, leaving a startled MysteriousLady Green Dragonet in its wake.

IMPRESSION POSE:  Shock startles the Mysterious Lady Dragonet and she hastily butts Kymra's knees. How could Kymra look at anyother when /she/ was on the Sands? Mine.

IMPRESSION MESSAGE:  A faint breeze surrounds you, tickles you, caresses and explores your mind before becoming an overwhelming presence. A light sound, like a sigh or a song carried by a gentle wind, tickles your inner ear and then you know, you understand, you become one with the music as song fills your entire being and touches your soul. The light voice recedes only to come back stronger, claiming you as hers and claiming herself:

<<My name is Gwyneth!>>

DRAGONET NAME/DESC:  Mysterious Lady Green Dragonet

Dark pine mingles with sap green only to be shadowed by tenebrous klah verging on black as they color the hide of this dragon in thick bark-like patterns as threads of a brighter grass coloring rises up from darkened haunches. Patches of dark verdancy, looking much like Spanishmoss, randomly caress strong muscles as they flex with indifference. A perfectly wedge-shaped head is offset by large jeweled eyes that regard her surroundings with wonder. Lithe, light, and dainty all at once, she epitomizes green perfection.

EGG NAME/DESC:  Prestorm Gales Egg

Wild, whipping wind strokes -- slashes -- tears at this egg with exuberant shades of white-gray. Cross-cut and blustery, the color is unvaried except for the striations of the shell: here they veer circularly toward the beset tip, there they blast straight-on for the rounded base. There's a thrill to this seemingly barren egg that is only captured in the heart--and there's a heart within to be born.

CLUTCH THEME: Some Of Our Favorite Things!

BACKGROUND: John William Waterhouse's Lady of Shallot and Alfred LordTennyson's Lady of Shallot

The Lady of Shalott can be identified with Elaine, the Fair Maid of Astolat, of Arthurian Romance. Tennyson's poems The Lady of Shalott and Lancelot and Elaine were loosely based upon the legend of Elaine which canbe found in Sir Thomas Malory's Morte D'Arthur. Tennyson's The Lady of Shalott portrays the doomed maiden as a mysterious woman confined to a room in a tower on the island of Shalott, in the middle of a river that flows towards Arthur's court. She weaves upon a loom day and night, forbidden to look out of her window by threat of a curse. She must catch her glimpses of 'many-tower'd Camelot' and shadows of the world outside through reflections in a mirror that hangs before her. She tires of living her life through reflections saying she is "half-sick of shadows". The moment she utters these words her weary life is changed forever when she sees Sir Lancelot ride past, clad in shining armour. Driven by desire for Lancelot the Lady of Shalott runs to the window, breaking her loom and her tapestry. The mirror 'crack'd from side to side' as the curse wreaks its wrath upon her. She climbs down from the tower to the water's edge, where she finds a boat and writes 'The Lady of Shalott' upon its prow. She lays herself down and lets the boat drift down the river to Camelot, singing one last song before her life slips away from her. When her dead body drifts ashore at Camelot, all who see it are seized with fear except Lancelot. He thinks for a time, then says, "She has a lovely face; God in his mercy lend her grace, The Lady of Shalott."

You can find Tennyson's Poem here:http://www.bucknell.edu/~bowan/poem.html

Gwyneth's description was based on the lovely colors of the trees inWaterhouse's Lady of Shallot painting, whereas her personality was a mixture of the poem, the painting, and your idea of a dragon as well.
