At age 27, L. Ron Hubbard clinically 'died' only to discover that he could
remote view. From this state of consciousness, which would later be called
'exterior,' he was able to access what he termed the answers to all of the
questions that had ever puzzled philosophers or the minds of men.
Transcribing this information into a work entitled Excalibur, which is still
under lock and key to this day, he developed one of the most controversial
movements in history: Dianetics and Scientology.
The truth and import of the above can only be evaluated by the all out war
which was waged by governmental forces and spy agencies to obtain the
legally construed rights to the above mentioned work and all of the
developments and techniques that ensued from it.
The Montauk Book of the Dead is the personal story of Peter Moon which not
only pierces the mystery of death but gives an unbiased behind-the-scenes
look at one of the most controversial figures in history and the bizarre
legacy of his death. Read this book and expect to learn more than you ever
thought possible.

This book makes a half-hearted attempt to be neutral investigation into Scientology. However, it is glaringly biased (anti-Scientology). It is a little funny that the author describes what all the Scientology women look like and wear that he meets in his investigation.

In passing, this book mentions L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology, because one of the authors (Peter Moon) was involved with the group in the past. Moon met Hubbard while in the Sea Org. I found it entertaining reading.

In 1950 Joseph Winter was involved with the Dianetics movement, but became disgruntled with a few aspects and decided to move on. Although this book does criticize a few aspects of Dianetics, it also supports it as the author recounts his success in helping people with it. This book was written in 1951, a few years before Scientology became a religion.

The media often portrays Scientology in a negative light. The hidden story of Scientology is the campaign to destroy it that started in 1950, a few years before Scientology became a religion.

Although the title of the book doesn't say it, this book is about Scientology. Particularly, about the government raids in which "dirty tricks" were unlawfully used against the Scientologists. Very interesting reading!

This is a Science Fiction book that has Scientology elements, although it does not directly mention Scientology anywhere. It is a story about a Clear OT society -- a world without crime, in which a crime occurs for the first time in ages. Lots of suspense and a real page turner.
