Tobias, the member of the Animorphs who has best learned the lesson of how long you can stay in morph, is trapped in the body of a red-tailed hawk. Although he regained his ability to morph by doing a favor for the Ellimist, his true form that he must return to every two hours is still a hawk.
The first casualty of the Yeerk war, Tobias is kind and strong. He is usually the eyes of a mission, but, surprizingly, a hawk can do some damage in a fight. Tobias is a valued Animorph who will hopefully soon realize that he is the son of Prince Elfangor. (Therefore, Ax is not only his shorm, but also his uncle.)
