September's Sacred Site:

Caermeini, Preseli Mountains, Wales

For decades, scientists and archaeologists have puzzled over the apparent fact that the bluestones situated in the inner ring of Stonehenge were brought from nearly 150 miles away in South Wales. Though there is some divergence of opinion about this now, this outcropping in the Preseli Mountains has long been held to be the source of the bluestones.
