Why is it so Dark in here?

Outwardly...I'm a fairly sunny person. No pale white makeup, no dog collar, no piercing...not even an ear.
So what, you may well ask, is with all this "DARKNESS"?

Good question?

Why do we die?

Where do we go?

We know on what we feed
but
what feeds on us?

As a spiritual being, I ask these questions constantly.
Unlike many spiritual people, I do not believe the answers are
or should be
necessarily reassuring in nature.

We harvest.
We hunt.
And,
for millenia,
we have mythologized about that which sustains us.
We understand in our very cells that destruction brings life. We know in moments of anxiety
that the universe is fleeing order for entropy.

And so we run from the dark.
We "fear the reaper".

I like to think it is this clear and certain instinct of the killing and the chaotic that makes us seek the light.
But we must always remember to look over our shoulders from time to time
and acknowledge our pursuer.

As male and female
Body and mind
So light and dark are ever locked
in a dance

(And, besides, I think horror movies are a gas.)

But don't take my word for this stuff.
