July's Sacred Site:

Tintagel, Cornwall

Regarded in legend as the birthplace of King Arthur, but actually constructed much later, the castle of Tintagel has been split in two by centuries of erosion and will eventually fall into the sea. Recent archaeological work has revealed habitation from the presumed age of Arthur, predating the castle itself.
