January's Sacred Site:

"King Arthur's Tomb" (Glastonbury Abbey, England)

Glastonbury is widely held to be the site of the mystical isle of Avalon, where the dying King Arthur was borne after his final battle. In the 12th century, enterprising monks of the Abbey disinterred what they claimed were the bones of Arthur and his queen. A tomb was erected (since demolished) to lay the remains to rest. Glastonbury Abbey is a site not to be missed by pagan and Christian alike.
