the strength of a man is
determined by several things, the least of which is his
resolve. you can get to know a lot about a man by testing
his resolve. his stamina. his
determination to reach a goal unblemished. but the one
thing that can begin to eat at a
man's heart is failure. failure is the poison on the
dagger of life. it is the one thing
that can cause even the biggest of men to fall to the
ground, weeping uncontrollably.
this is the rub that sends men to their graves
{{-
The scene fades in from the snow on
your screen. You hear some eerie music playing in the
background,
but as the scene comes into focus, you begin to pay more
attention to what's in front of you. You see a large
room, decorated with several pictures. On a wall, there
are several trophies hanging, along with several medals,
and other various awards. Then, in the dim light of the
room, you begin to hear breathing. A steady inhale and
exhale coming from somewhere in the room. As you turn to
find it, you see a tall black man sitting on the ground,
directly in the center of the room, his chest rising up
and down with the breathing. A thin layer of sweat is
apparent
on his back and shoulders. Dressed only in a pair of
form-fitting black karate pants, he sits motionless,
except for
the movement of his chest. Then, in swift motion, he
leaps to life, springing to his feet. As you look, you
see 2 cinder
blocks in front of him, and stacked in the middle is
another cinder block. The man raises his right hand into
a fist
then releases the fist so that his palm is facing
outwards. His hand begins to shake as he lets out a
scream and thrusts
his hand down at a tremendous speed. His hand strikes the
block....nothing. The block doesn't break. The man
exhales greatly as he turns to face you, intensity
written all over his face. Sweat pouring, he speaks in a
low voice.-}}
::
Man ::*deep breath* You've found me, it seems.
Failure on the block I guess you saw that....this is my
first time testing myself with the cinder block. I've
broken many planks of wood before, but never the block.
Failure. But like any great warrior, I shall try again.
But for now, I suppose you are here to gather some quotes
from the newest member of the OWA....well let me
introduce myself, my name is Mikul Quikk....my nickname
is "The Machine" and I am your future OWA World
Champion.
{{- Quikk walks around
you and towards the wall. He stares at some of his
trophies while bending down
to open the small mini-fridge in front of him. He gets
out a bottled water from the fridge and cracks it open,
drinking most of it in, and then pouring the rest out on
his face, the water running down his head and chest. He
tosses the bottle into a trashcan nearby and turns to
face you again, this time, the intensity a bit faded. -}}
::
"The Machine" Mikul Quikk :: You probably want to know why the
OWA, right? Why, with all the great companies around, do
I decide to make my mark in the OWA....right place, right
time. The OWA is making their return to the world of
wrestling on Saturday, July 15th, with a great
Pay-Per-View event called Last Resort....and
this event will mark the return of this organization, and
the start of my illustrious career. My confidence
couldn't be higher right now. Being trained in the
martial arts has taught me to never be over-confident,
but never let them think you can't do what you say you
can do. Right now, I am ready to make my move. No waiting
in line. No standing in the back. I'm ready to make my
mark on the OWA by challenging anybody and everybody. I
won't make any mistakes and you won't defeat me. But
there is one man who will feel my wrath much sooner than
others...and that man is the OWA World Champion....a
waste of space who calls himself....Hyena....
{{- Quikk reaches for
his towel and towels himself off a bit as he continues to
speak in a very low voice. -}}
::
"The Machine" Mikul Quikk :: Hyena....first off, you don't
know the meaning of the word "intense". I'm
intensity personified....I mean, just look at me. 6 foot
3, 230 pounds of unbridled intensity....trained as a
Master in jujitsu, karate, and taekwando....I have won
tournaments, world titles, numerous awards, and now I
bring my skills and my intensity to the OWA...where a
piece of shit like you has possession of the World Title.
Well, I'm going to make it the first thing on my list to
do a couple of things to you....one is put you in your
goddamn place...and two is take that World Title belt out
from your hands....and don't think for a moment that I
can't do what I say I can do, Hyena....don't think that,
because it'll be your downfall....Failure is not an
option this time around....and you cannot win.
{{- Quikk drops the
towel and approaches the cinder block pile. He picks up
the halfway broken block and
places it on the ground. He reaches down and gets a fresh
block from the pile and places it on top, longways, so
the most brick is standing straight up. Putting his hands
together, he meditates for a moment, and you hear him
mutter something under his breath. He gets his position
and then raises his hand again in a clinched fist, then
releases
his hand so that the palm is facing in the air. Then,
with another scream, this one more blood-curdling than
the last,
he thrusts his hand downwards with incredible speed. This
time, the block shatters as Quikk's hand drives
completely
through it, all the way to the ground, as the cinder
block pieces fall to the hardwood flooring and a cloud of
dust rises
from the pile. Quikk remains in his final position for a
few moments, gathering himself and then he raises his
hand to
take a look. No cuts or anything, a clean break of the
block. He lets out a deep breath before speaking, never
turning
around to face you, only speaking in his low gutteral
voice. -}}
::
"The Machine" Mikul Quikk :: No more failure. The block is
broken and so will your body be, Hyena. No chance in
Hell. Because you must remember one thing....Death comes
to us all...but for you, Hyena....it will come QUIKK....
{{- Then, Quikk gathers
himself again and walks out of the room, as the scene
fades out. -}}
failure is not an option. to
succeed you must have focus. you will win because
you are the better man and no one can defeat you. you are
indestructable. remember
your training. the eyes of men show fear. show nothing in
your eyes. show the death
that comes and you will be invincable. speak truth. live
life. end careers. and you
will have your place among the greatest of all time. feel
the ending. it is here
