Stouts (My favorite style)
Guinness, Extra Stout or Draught. My favorite beer. Period.
Rogue Shakespeare Stout. Probably my second favorite beer, which says a lot.
Xingu Black Beer. Unusual, unique, very good. Worth a try.
Young’s Oatmeal stout. Perhaps the best oatmeal stout out there.
Pale Ales (My second favorite style)
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Hoppy and bitter how I think a pale ale should be.
Samuel Smith’s India Ale. (See above.)
Royal Oak Pale Ale. More yeasty than the above beers but very
good.
Bocks
Salvator Doppelbock. Delicious. Easily my favorite doppelbock.
Kulmbacher Reichelbrau Eisbock. The original ice beer. Unlike Bud Ice, this beer has flavor. And what a flavor.
New Glarus Uff-da Bock. Props for the local brewery. This
is their best effort.
Pilsners
Pilsner Urquell. The first and best pilsner there is. One of my personal favorites.
Bitburger. An excellent German pils.
Bitters
Fuller’s ESB. A true English bitter in the states.
Belgian Beers (This is a broad category, meaning that I am lumping multiple styles together.)
Duvel. One of my favorite beers. Light, fruity, and delicious. Highly recommended.
Orval. A hoppy trappist ale. In my opinion, a very good combination.
Boon anything. If you have not yet had a lambic, go buy a fluted glass and treat yourself.
Rodenbach Grand Cru. Belgian Strong Ale. Don't let the name scare you its actually rather sweet and mellows out at warmer
temperatures.
Porters
Anchor Porter. My favorite porter.
Rogue Mocha Porter. An excellent porter with a chocolatey flavor.
