SAMHAIN EVE

Another Bella original. This one was written for a group I once belonged to,we have since parted ways on good terms and I bid them a fond farewell to pursue a different path.

I was travelling alone, in a place far from home
Just a stranger in a foreign land
I looked up to the sky, and the clouds passing by
Formed a lotus and an ebon hand

I arrived at the site, and amid the torches light
I watched that fateful night begin
And there beneath the moon as I sang my mournful tunes
I felt a passion stir within

So I stood by the fire,as they built their funeral pyre
And they buried painful memories
I was touched by a dream, and the things that I had seen
And a voice that seemed to call to me

And there that Samhain Eve came six men who believed
And they beckoned with an Iron will
Before the coming dawn, the Black Company was born
Neath the shadow of the Eldern Hills

I still sing this in your honor Morgan,in memory of what once was and shall never be again.
