Simon Nayal Carthwright

Christian Carthwright was a man of intuition, a man who had an insight of the world, and did everything that he could to exploit that insight. In 1795 Christian moved to Thailand, a move which made an impact, no matter how discrete, upon the nation. Some 30 years before his move, a revolution in Thailand created a new period of growth, a revolution which moved the capital of the nation from Ayutthaya to Thon Buri. Now at the behest of several business partners, Christian began an export company from Bangkok, the city opposite of Thon Buri, laying on the far shore of the Chao Phraya river. This export company shipped rice, the main crop of Thailand, back to Brittain where his partners would would buy it, and then distribute it through other buyers as they saw fit.
Christian was becoming a very successful man, and was doing so very quickly. By 1812, Christian was married, owned a large estate overlooking the valley through which the Chao Phraya ran, and was heading a very influential company that brought in substantial cash flow, while employing over 5,000 native workers. Christian's life was on the rise, and it reached it's summit in 1815, when his wife, Nayal Carthwright, gave birth to his son, Simon Nayal Carthwright. From brith Simon always has the best, the best of Brittain that is, and in a world where Brittain's average was held in awe by the natives, the best was something far above what others would think it of. Simon was taught in the home, by several scholars who moved from Brittain and lived with the family. Through his child-hood, Simon had always roamed about the countryside, attendants nearby, looking over the rice fields and the rows of bent back workers who filled them. These images of the workers, the homes they lived in, and the familes who were supported by his father's company left strong impressions upon Simon, and have played a large part in what has made him the man he now is. While always on the best of behavior, and never going against his elders, Simon was a bit of a bully by nature, a child used to having done what he wanted, a child who had grown up telling others what to do. With all this at his disposal, he grew accustomed to being the boss, and at times it is more than appearant what his true nature is.

It wasn't until 1847 that Simon's life was rearranged. The man had inherited his father's business, Christian and Nayal having both been killed in a train accident, leaving Simon, at the age of 26, the sole heir of the business. He had built upon a solid foundation, and created an international corporation that controlled and operated through 17 different shipping lanes reaching out through the Mid East, Europe, and Brittain. At the age of 32, Simon Nayal Carthwright was worth 12 million dollars. 12 million dollars never left idle, never put to waste, never allowed to be mis-allocated. Simon was pleased with what he'd made, but had no intention of relaxing. This drive for improvement, this... will to increase what was already great, is what changed Simon's life. He was good looking, and obviously a capable man, but Cameron Smith wasn't at all impressed with just the average good looking capable guy. Sure, he'd been watching Simon Carthwright for some time, and yes, the man was well above the other's in his league, yet it was not until Cameron eventually held a one on one conversation with Simon that he was able to come upon the decision he acted on.

Simon was embraced by Cameron the following week, at the age of 32, controlling over 60 percent of the rice export out of Thailand, running numerous smaller companies which rivaled that of first world countries, and, having set a standard for perfection that impressed even a Ventrue, Simon was an excellent addition to the clan. On July 17, 1847, Simon Nayal Carthwright became kindred.
