She continued her way up the face of the mountain. Her muscles aching. Jazel looked to the sun setting off in the distance. She only had a few hours left of day light left before it would be dark. She pulled herself once more up the mountain. She was tired and angry still with Io. It wasn't her fault that her powers weren't all that great. Who cares as to who's magick she uses? She is using some at least. She fumed the whole way up the mountain to a ledge outcrop where she decided to rest for the night. Once on the ledge, she gathered what dry twigs and sticks she could find and placed them in a small pile. Jazel took a deep breath and watched as flames sparked from her fingers as she snapped. She stared deep into the flame as she held it gently, the flames not burning her skin. She dropped the flame onto the small pile of twigs and watched as the shadows danced on the rock wall. ~Thanks Mila~ She thought as she continued to stare at the flame. "You ever heard of a match?" Io asked coldly as he stepped from the mountain stone. Jazel shifted her gaze to the dragon and glared. "You ever heard of not judgeing me on everything I do?" Jazel snapped. Io's tail shifted from side to side as the two stared daggers at each other. "You are impossible you know that don't you?" Io fumed, clearly aggitated by the lack of coroporation from her. "You know you are annoying don't you?" Jazel mocked in return. Io growled slightly. Jazel started to growl a reply when something in the bushes drew her attention away from Io. Io noticed and followed her eyes to the bushes. "What is that?" Jazel whispered, almost too afraid to speak any louder, as she slowly got to her feet. "No one told me there was going to be any sorta noise coming from bushes on this quest" She added a little bit louder. Io looked to Jazel and glared slightly in confusion. "Like it was in my job description?" Io snapped breifly as he watched Jazel move closer to the bush. "I wouldn't go near it if I were you" he added. Jazel spun her head around and glared at him. "Well you aren't me so shut up!" She snapped as she inched closer to the bush once more. Just as she was about to reach out and touch it, a large mountain goat jump out from behind the bushes, startleing everyone. Jazel froze in her place. Io jumped onto her shoulder and wrapped his tail around her throat. Jazel grabed the dragon's tail and pulled it away from her throat so that she would be able to breath. "We aren't scared of a huge goat now are we?" Jazel asked as she slowly backed away from the goat, careful not to make any sudden moves. Io grabbed onto her pigtails and held on for dear life. "When the goat has a mean attitude I am" He blurted out. The goat inched closer and closer to the pair as Jazel iched closer and closer to the edge of the ledge. The back of her foot slipped off the edge causeing fear shoot through the two. Jazel and Io both glanced over their shoulders and stared down. If they were going to fall, it was going to be one long way down with no chance of surviving in the end. They looked back at the goat. A mean look in it's eyes as it stared at the inturders. "Well Io, it's been real nice knowing you. Hope to see you soon in another life" Jazel's voice shaked as she shook the tiny dragon's hand. Io nodded. The goat stamped a hoof creating a small cloud of dust around it. Jazel tried to swallow the lump in her throat that just would not go away. Time seemed to crawl before the goat took charge of the situation and charged the frightened pair sending them over the edge of the mountain. Their screams echoing throughout the night air before they were cut off abruptly.
