Cora and Gordon had started walking and silent tears slipped down her cheeks. The two pokemon chattered back and forth and Ishtar sulked at her side. Gordon was ahead of them, not far, but still ahead. She stared at the back of his head, her mind and her heart more confused than it had ever been. It was Lord Micheal that Gordon Gabriev resembled. Lord Micheal, her first love, who she had discovered too late only wanted the power she would possess eventually. She looked away from him and returned to her minds wanderings... Argo, the Knight Taurus was effectively the young Princess' elder. As a child he was her best friend despite that difference. That was the Argo of her world.. Cora laughed joyfully as Argo pushed her on the swing higher and higher. Pisces, her sister watched with a protective glare on the pair when Argo sudenly grabbed the swing and pulled her to a hault. Pisces, only twelve at the time spun around and nodded and the two had dragged her back into the castle and left her with her grand mother and her great grand mother. They patted the space between them simultainiously and Cora wedged herself between them happily. Both names Serenity commented on how she was a perfect blend of the two of them, that was when her Great Grandmother smiled. "A perfect mix of the stars and the moon..." Cora giggled as her grand mother held before her the Silver Crystal. At Cora's touch it lit up the room and a tiny shard came free of it. The elder Serenity smiled, the deep lies on her face bunching together marily. She smiled down at her daughter and laughed. "Chibi-Usa.." She said softly, "I believe we have found the one..." "Some day Aquarius," her grand mother spoke softly, so that non other could hear, "You will also be Sailor Moon..." Cora's head jerked up. She'd never remembered that before! Where had it come from? She shook the thought off and then her mind trailed to Argo, her former best friend in all the world. How could the Argo of her world and his alter Ego, Knight Mercury, Knight Taurus, be so different from who she had grown up with. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly and remembered all the times she and Argo had hidden from their mothers together in her Great Grandmother's Garden. "Cora, you know what you must do in your life before you are ready to assume your responsibilities.." Spoke her grand mother. "We love you child, when your ready, we will be with you.. but it may take some time.. I fear.." Cora looked up at Serenity. "What do you mean?" She asked as her Grand Mother did something she hadn't done with her own daughter. Her grandmother brushed out Cora's blonde, pink streaked hair and expertly pulled the mass up into meatballs with a trail of her hair hanging in pony tails down her back. "Cora look into the mirror.. tell me what you see..." Cora gasped, what she saw was Selene, the Goddess of the Moon... the image of her blood line, the image of the future Queen. Cora spun around, her grey eyes turning a silvery color, and she shook. "Yes, child you see it, what me and my mother have known was in you since the day you were born. Serenity, the spirit of her soul is in you.. you are not just Serenity, but you are the spirit kindred with that of the last Serenity to have ruled over the Moon Kingdom.. over the Silver Millenium." Cora paled. "Child, you wondered why your great grand mother doted upon you so, because you had a kindred bond between mother and daughter.. one we have always known to exist. Some day you will find your King... he is out there somewhere child.. it is your job to find him tho... but.. Micheal... you know him and his ways.. he reminds you but could never be your King... he is not the Dragon King." Cora looked at her grand mother. "I don't want this..." She whispered. Her calling was with the animals and healing them.. she was like Argo in that respect, they were best friends always bringing home a sick animal or a bird with a broken wing. "I know you don't child, but it is part of who you are.. the past will live again in a new age, the Crystal Millenium will pass and the Golden Mellenium will thrive once again." Cora was about to speak when her grandmother placed her finger on her lips. "Shhh.. when it is time, you will know when Aquarius, the power of the Moon will return to you, and you will remember everything. Just as we all have rememberences." "But I don't want..." Serenity smiled at her, "Child when you find him you will.. give it time.. now down to the ball with you.. the others are waiting.. and your all trussled up..." Cora hugged her grandmother and kissed her on the cheek and scurried from the thrown room to the ball room. It was then Ishtar appeared before her. "Your Highness..." "She isn't ready yet." Serenity spoke softly. "She must be ready.. when the time comes, the dimensional portal will suck her through as he pulls her to him.. she must be ready before that time.. " "Ishtar, these things can't be rushed." "I do not know how much longer I can watch over her like this," spoke the ghostly form of a tiger. "An avaitor has been found for me, I must be in solid form if I am ever to help my Queen again.." "The Golden Mellenium will rise Ishtar, but it can not be rushed..." She felt strange. There was a bouble of thought in the back of her mind trying to make its way to the surface of her memories but she couldn't remember. Things that were on the edge of her mind, just as her grandmother said they would be, were trying to surface, it made her dizzy. "Ishtar... " She hissed under her breath. The bangle tiger growled in warning as she tipped foward and cushioned her fall. Gordon turned in time to see Ishtar scurry beneath her. The pokemon jabbered in concern and Ishtar growled something beneath his breath which Gordon heard but wasn't meant to. "And so it begins Dragon King..."
