On the ground, U.S. Marshal Vince Larkin (John Cusack) must prevent Grissom and the other hardened lifers from escaping. While Larkin's overzealous colleagues want to simply blow the airplane out of the sky, Larkin discovers he has an unexpected ally onboard the plane...
